    Haha.......they can't as they've already had their first defences.......

    Bute faced a waaaaay past it William Joppy in Canada
    Kessler faced Danilo Haussler although it was in Germany

    Froch faced Jermain Taylor in the USA.

    It was his mandatory,just like Haussler was for Kessler.
    Bute fought Joppy because it was then whe nGreen started his long run of turning Bute fights down.

    No you didn't ask me that. You asked me if only Froch supporters actually believe he's number one at 168. And before I could reply, a mere five minutes after your post someone popped up to say he agreed whilst not being a Froch supporter. Therefore I didn't think it needed an answer.

    BTW Pascal is a far better fighter than he gets credit for on here.(prob doesn't help that he's not American) Maybe if he wins the WBC 175 title people might take more notice.

    What does Allan Green turning down Bute have anything to do with Bute picking Joppy? So Joppy was the best Bute can settle on??... out of all that talent at 168???

    You're a good Bute apologist though. You should be his publicist.

    Indeed,1 person.I think that is a new record.
    And I agree that Pascal is underrated,he is a good fighter but nothing you guys make him out to be.

    Yes,it's the best he could find at the time.Everybody ranked was busy at the time.There is a thread here somewhere. that shows the people ranked and their status at the time.

    The problem with Pascal is that you never know if he will show up. This lack of discipline might be an issue when facing a banger like Diaconu.

    Power, heart, chin/durability, workrate..

    Bute's the better boxer.. but Taylor was the better boxer too.. so was Pascal

    Power?Yeah I agree but not by the crazy margin some people mention.
    Heart?The same.
    Chin/durability?Bute,he's been in there with big bangers and took the shots.Froch was knocked down by Taylor who has questionable power.
    Workrate?Bute.Easy.

    Tough One Could Go Either Way!!!!!!!!!

    Im Leaning Slightly Towards Froch

    Heres why ......Froch is a slow starter he seems to get stronger in
    the late rounds against pascal apart from the first round he looked
    exhausted from rounds 2-6 but came on STRONG in the late rounds
    Against taylor he seemed half asleep till the 7th then woke up
    Not the Best Strategy in world but it seems to work for him?????:deal
    Froch is a Tough Guy who can take alot of punishment
    his skills and workrate are terrible so his only chance is to hope bute
    works hard all night and gets tired late where froch is tough and can still
    land heavy hands.
    Bute's chin may not be at its best since andrade
    This is Froch's only Hope Really!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    I Think this will work and Froch gets by by the skin of his teeth again:patsch

    froch didnt win the taylor fight - taylor lost it.

    no disrespect to froch but hes a limited fighter on borrowed tme.
