Holyfield was hospitalised for severe dehydration after going 15 rounds with a buzz saw like Dwight Braxton... He also took punishment in a torrid pace with Rick Parkey and walked through shots against former Olympic Gold Henry Tillman. I'm sorry for Haye but there are thing you simply can't measure in a fighter like stoicism, fighting heart and gritty determination.
He's exciting for sure. Good speed and power at cruiser and can certainly carry another 30lb or so. While its not certain how he will do at heavy, it is a fact he's done more in 21 fights at cruiser than most ever manage in a career. He took on his first ex world titlist in his tenth fight, the second in his 11th. He beat the man of the division in his own back yard and followed it up with a defense vs another titlist. You cant do much more than that in so few fights. Compared to the last Wlad borefest, his fights have all been worth watching. All that being said, Holyfield is still better, but that is no disgrace whatsoever.
OK, so admit for one, that you've never seen a pre-Tyson Holyfield, and two, that you've most certainly never seen a Cruiserweight Holyfield. Or else just admit that you haven't the faintest idea what you're talking about.
I admit it.. never seen anything of his early days. Not planning to either, this is just what i'd imagine from what i have seen.
Well, watch some of his early days, when he was the best CW of all time, and one of the best head to head fighters of that weight region to ever fight, and then comment.
there is no question, holy is in a different league, how can you put haye in the same bracket as evander, lets wait and see how haye does in his next few fights before getting excited!!!
Not trying to knock Haye here but holyfield kills him. Anything Haye can do holyfield can do better and holyfield has the chin to withstand any shots haye may land on him. lopsided fight ebfore the KO
No way Haye last 12 rounds w/ Holyfield ... Holyfield was undefeated and the first undisputed champion of the division. Holyfield's skill and underrated punching power will carry him to a knockout victory.
I should've just said "Choose B and C, and call it a day". He seems to be one of the truly delusional ones, on the level of UnbeatableFloyd, bigtime9, etc.
