Who Wins Hopkins/Pascal? Do you even care?

Intersting fight! I'm looking forward to see how Pascal will deal with B-Hop experience!

At this point Pascal should outwork him. Anyway thank god that B Hop-David Haye didn't happen.

 

Pascal wins. BHOP has yet to beat a faster fighter his own size.

 

Popkins is gonna grab and hold and wrestle and cry to the ref about low-blows and head butts,,, and just basically do what he does to make a **** fight while keeping it close enough to claim "robbery" if it dosn't go his way... [like the Calzaghe fight]

Those who think he's gonna do a job like he did against Pavlik are dreaming... IMO Nard has lost a step or two since the KP fight... and for all his flaws, Pascal ain't no lumbering, straight-forward plodder with lead boots in there. His athletism, speed and movement are gonna give the old man problems.

Hopkins should be able to land some nice counters while Jean is lunging in with wide shots, but that won't be enough to get him the nod in Quebec.

Pascal takes it by ugly SD (+Hop cries he was robbed by the crooked Canadians ) :|

Im going for pascal by a couple of rounds i think bhop will be up for this and will put down his pipe and kick off his slippers for this one and will keep up with the pace, but still see pascal taking it.

I think he retires if he beats Pascal & I don't know what the hell he does if he loses. I see this as an ugly fight but I hope I'm wrong. We really don't know how much Hops has and if he looked bad against a shot Jones then how will he look against a hungry, coming-to-take-over-America Pascal. I'm a fan of both but most of me wants a Hops win. We need to give both men their due. Hops was one of the greatest MW's ever & even beat a top lt hvy in Tarver after losing in close fights to Taylor. Pascal is coming off an upset where most thought Dawson would outbox him but yet he outfoxed him & with Pascal he'll fight anyone. Hops is crafty and will use anyway he can to win I don't see why many people hate him you can't deny his greatness and it's just his mouth that sometimes brings him to a wrong place. Word of advice, watch more of their fights and you'll gain an appreciation for them. Hops the clever boxer & Jean the always ready to fight brawler. Could be a good fight and I hope it will be.

 

good fight, can't wait. Like Pascal but respect B-Hop. Hopefully Pascal can pull it off.

 

I hope Hopkins wins and if the Hopkins of the Pavlik fight shows up Pascal is taking a terrible schooling.

However I think Pascal is too hungry and athletic for B-Hop now.

 

Pascal UD or what less possible TKO in late round 9-11.

 

It would be bad for boxing and the LHW division if Hopkins wins, because he would discredit both Pascal and by implication Dawson (unfairly), leaving only Cloud.

I think the 2008 Hopkins would take this, but now I don't know. Bernard's defense finally is starting to soften as he has become very stiff, and his stamina is utter ****. He still brings a lot to the table, but I'm expecting a boring fight either way.

Make no mistake, though: If Hopkins keeps at it, he's eventually going to catch a serious hiding at the hands of someone.

 

The press conference might be better than the fight. I know the pre & post-fight interviews will be good but I don't know about the fight itself.

 

I definitely want to see this... And I think the only reason he's fighting Pascal and didn't fight Dawson was the possibility of ruining another young American fighter..

But he was very inactive against Ornelas and Jones, so time may finally caught up to the old man..

 

Taylor hasn't won a HUGE fight since beating Hops & Pavlik still is trying to rebuild his career after losing to Hops. Lipsey retired right after facing Hopkins. Hopkins does ruin people it's a fact. I too question how much he has left & does he have the stamina to capitalize on Pascal's mistakes. I heard he wants to give Pascal a beating lol.

 

It depends which Hopkins shows up for the fight. If it's the Hopkins that fought Pavlik, then Hopkins can beat Pascal. If it's Hopkins that fought Roy Jones Jr the second time, then Pascal wins this.
