Who Wins Hopkins/Pascal? Do you even care?

I hope Pascal wins this. I don't dislike Hopkins, but I don't want a 46 year old to hold the title. Its no good for the division.

I think Hopkins wins. There's a reason why Hopkins picks certain fighters, and that's why he's fighting Pascal now and never decided to fight Dawson. Pascal is a front runner, and I think Hopkins will win a close the decision.

No way Hopkis wins, unless by knockout! And I think that is highly unlikely. "Ya'll musta forgot..." that this fight is in Montreal. Although Bernard is an all time great, he is not a crowd favorite. If it goes the distance, Pascal gets the home town call bigtime. I see Pascal making Bernard chase him, because of how tired Bernard has been getting in the later rounds of his last few fights, and just maybe doing the same thing he did to Dawson - throw enough lunging shots to make it at least look like he is the one dictating the fight.
At this point, Bernard would really only look good against a fighter trying to bring the fight to him and stand in front of him - aka Kelly Pavlik. Against someone who is younger and going to be in and out, I think he will have a lot of problems.

I wouldn't put it past Pascal putting Hopkins down or even knocking him out. I think this might be a tad ugly, but no way can I see Hopkins winning this to be truthful.

 

Brutal ko. The guy gave up on boxing after that fight. Good insight on Hopkins that you gave in the first part of this post. I can't see Hopkins winning this "easy" as Pascal can go back & is a speedy,athletic guy. If Hopkins wins this easy I'll have my mout open watching the whole time. Thinking about it now, you were probably right about Hopkins not wanting to ruin another young American fighter. Look at the vid I gave.
