    Must say I am surprised this poll is heavily in favour of Calzaghe. Guess more Brits are voting or the hatred for Dre here is really high which I don’t understand. Ward is the type of guy you would want your daughter to bring home as her partner because he will treat her right though Calzaghe comes across very well also.

    It's nothing to do with any of that. Ward would find it tough being against someone who's elite with that kind of crazy workrate.

    Calzaghe has found a way to beat awkward and dirty fighters before like Bernard Hopkins and Sakio Bika.

    Also Joe was a master in adaptability, he could adapt to any opponent in the ring, he knew when to find a plan B when Plan A wasn't working.

    Ward would make it a competitive for sure, but I'd have to favour Calzaghe.

    Don’t think Ward is a dirty fighter at all. What Ward is, is actually a highly skilled fighter and athlete and very adaptable more so than Calzaghe. Calzaghe was very good but Ward was better and he beat a higher level of competition more decisively in my opinion. People underestimate how physical strong Ward was and his mentality was top notch.

    I'd pick Ward - way better resume. Stylistically, a past it Zaghe had a roughly even outing with a somewhat analogous fighter to Ward in Hopkins.

    I believe the disparity between a prime Ward and 43-year old Hopkins is greater than that between a prime Calzaghe and his 36 year old version.

    Ward might come off as a good person outside the ring but in the ring dude was one of the dirtiest fighters ever hence why many boxing fans aren't huge fans of his.

    Inside the ring fighters are supposed to be bad boys. What do you expect him to do inside the ring, serve tea and crumpets. Sorry but these type of comments I find utterly ridiculous.
