at 135... nayyyy. pacquiao would overpower chavez and would blitz him. rosario wa san excellent win for chavez, but who the **** was aguilar, perez, lindu, bumpus etc. pac obliterated hoya and diaz. they did not score a single round with pac.:good
You're entitled to your opinion, but it'd be refreshing if you validated it with some decent points. The facts are that Julio Cesar Chavez was at his absolute peak at Lightweight, and beat better fighters than David Diaz during his stay there. Manny, in complete contrast, has had one fight at the weight against the aforementioned Diaz, effectively a human punching bag who was almost defeated by a shot Erik Morales. In terms of accomplishments and ability as Lightweights, Chavez comes out on top. Manny is still a come forward fighter, even though he used his straight left lead against Oscar well, that was against a sitting duck. Chavez will have head movement, coming in with his hands held high, throwing left hooks to the body, and right hands to the head. It's sometimes lost that Chavez's combination punching ability was fantastic, and this would be key in such a intense battle. Manny has his good points too. He will undeniably have the faster hands, and if he does fight at angles, then this cause pose some problems for Julio earl. I just don't see Manny shying away from a war ,and Chavez has one of the all-time great chins and has never shown any sign of wilting during his best days. Based on Chavez being more proven at Lightweight, having the rough house style that has troubled Manny in the past, coupled with his iron chin and will, I see him forcing a late stoppage. Manny could only win on points, and he'd have to stay out of range for 12 rounds. He has never shown evidence of being able to do that with a fighter of Chavez's caliber.
135........ and since how many times pac proved you wrong??? now you are putting your hatred and expertise towards mythical match up
Manny Pacquiao has proved me wrong once, and that was effectively me not knowing that Oscar was going to come into the ring at 147lb, despite not making the Welterweight limit in over 7 years. I can be forgiven for such a prediction, as Oscar was clearly physically incapable of doing anything in that ring against such a young and fast fighter like Manny. This fight took place at 147lb. At 135, as you keep repeating for some unknown reason. Manny fought a human punching bag who is perhaps 3-4 levels below the likes of Julio Cesar Chavez. I do realize you've probably never watched any fighter other than Manny fight, and that you clearly have your usual agenda here, but it'd be lovely if once you could go and do your homework. Watch Chavez in videos, then go watch Agapito Sanchez vs Manny Pacquiao. Manny Pacquiao would probably receive serious injury because he is an extremely willful fighter himself. Freddie might throw in the towel though, and that would probably be the best option against a fighter of Chavez's quality.
Edwin Rosario, Rafael Limon and Jose luis Ramirez were all overwhelmingly better fighters than David Diaz.
