Who Wins: JC Chavez or Manny Pacquiao?

a mythical match up and i love boxing. before i give my opinion though i have a few things i have to say.

manny pacquiao is one of the most exiting, fast, furious, powerful fighters of today. he is also the only phillipino boxing superstar in a long long long time so to the pinoys he is the greatest of all time, they will always see him winning against everyone no matter what.

Julio Cesar Chavez is one of the greatest boxers that ever existed, but there are two faces of chavez 1- he was the invincible, pressure boxing master of all time, he could slip punches on the inside, he would punish your body and his punches were fast, precise and powerful. 90 fights undefeated he was considered the best P4P fighter for over 5 years.

then....2- the chavez that fought on for too long past his prime, with his fame and his name as the greates fighter of our time but looking a lot less impressive than his fame said. he was a lot slower against whittaker and loss that fight although being the champ, the pressure he exerted and the aura of chavez made the judges give him a gift draw. already on the decline he lost to randall in 94 he avenged it but looked a lot less impressive. he took on a great young fighter who was to quick to good for the already ancient chavez and looked horrible against him (ODLH)
then lost to a nobody named willy wise, then got ko'ed by consta tsyu.

so i see people my age can say chavez was overrated, we got to see him at his worse on his way to retirement lossing fights but the chavez in his prime was one of the greatest boxers of all time ( i did my homework and i saw a lot of his fights)


now on to the prediction of who will win

MANNY PAQUIAO : He is great, speed, power, executes the plan, he is the former WBC Lightweight world champion, WBC Super Featherweight world champion, IBF Super Bantamweight world champion, and WBC Flyweight world champion. He has also held the Ring Magazine titles for Featherweight, Super Featherweight, and Light Welterweight divisions. For his achievements, he became the first Filipino and Asian boxer to win five world titles in five different weight divisions. He is currently the IBO and Ring Magazine Light Welterweight champion and is rated by the Ring Magazine as the #1 pound-for-pound boxer in the world.

World champions whom Chávez defeated include Jose Luis Ramírez, Rafael Limon, Rocky Lockridge, Meldrick Taylor, Roger Mayweather, Lonnie Smith, Sammy Fuentes, Héctor "Macho" Camacho, Juan Laporte, Edwin Rosario, Greg Haugen, Tony López, Giovanni Parisi, Joey Gamache, and Frankie Randall, who had taken the WBC light welterweight belt from Chávez just four months earlier. He lost to only two champions: Oscar De La Hoya and Kostya Tszyu. He was held to a draw by two others: Pernell Whitaker and Miguel Angel Gonzalez.
In 2002, Ring Magazine ranked Chávez as the 18th greatest fighter of the last 80 years. He was also ranked #50 on Ring Magazine's list of 100 greatest punchers of all time.

in conclusion Manny is great Chavez is greater. chavez would beat manny paquiao in his prime either by ko via left hook to the body or by points. that would be one of the greates fights of the century both come forward both have fast hands and both never back down.
