    Ward beats Calzaghe. Neither of them can punch so would definitely beat a decision victory... but Ward beat Kessler a lot better than Slappy did and fought in a much tougher ear at SMW

    competitive era != tougher era. Calzaghe would have made Ward just one more 'bum' on his resume.

    ward by UD. too slick for Cal, who was awkward, sharp and fit but little else.

    Ward dominates early rounds, JOe turns slappy at speed to compensate, it dont work against Ward. Later rounds, Joe turns it up further usnig his superfitness, taking the last 2 or 3 rounds as Ward eases off knowing he has won.
