Joyce would KO Whyte or win a UD. Whyte will avoid Joyce like the plague because with his mandatory status he would ruin it all if he lost to a 4 fight novice. Joyce is proven levels above Whyte who let’s not forget recently lost narrowly to Chisora.
Miller will avoid Joyce for the same reason that Whyte is. Too much risk for too little reward when you are knocking on the door of a world title shot.
Joyce’s style looks good against lesser opponents, in that he bullies them and gets them out of there. I don’t think it’ll translate well against better opponents though. He could beat Whyte, but I think he’ll need to add more to him game. It’s kind of a mute point anyway, as Joyce will no doubt have to work his way up, just like the rest of them, and time’s not on his side.
I think Whyte would maybe edge it but he did open himself up to being called out for a fight by trashing big Joycey on Sky.
Whyte! You should have seen Usyk make a total fool out of Joyce................boxed circles around him, is only 6 feet 3 inches tall, Joyce out weighed him by a million lbs......................
Usyk is special though, I'd favour Usyk to beat Whyte too to be honest and do so in style. Just because Joyce got beat up by Usyk doesn't mean much because Usyk probably beats most of the top 10 right now.
In hus first pro fight, he beat and stopped Lewison more convincingly and quicker than Whyte, Joyce flattens the brutally overrated caveman Whyte in 8 or less.
Usyk would make a total fool out of Whyte as well, hell, Hunter, Huck and Briedis who Usyk beat as pros would probably beat Whyte, as would Medzhidov, who Usyk also made a fool out of. Joyce did a far better job against Usyk, than almost anyone else aside from Nistor in the WSB. Don't look at that as indicative of how bad Joyce is, but of how good Usyk is.
Joe Joyce without much problems! Whyte is a joke and arguably the ugliest boxer I've ever seen, with horrible balance, form, positioning and movement. Joe Joyce has far superior balance, form and punch variation.
Joyce is slow and there to be hit, Whyte would have a field day with the left hook and overhand right. Can’t see anything but a Whyte KO.
