Murray probably in say round 5, 6 or 7.....Thaxton is done...still cant believe he lost that European bout...Murray is better than that, so he will take him easily.

Murray, and quicker than he stopped Lawton. Thaxton looked past it against the Frenchman last time out.

Murray loses by ko, just something about his last two fights shows me hes really uncomfortable when backing up. Jono can still crack, and is a tough mofo. Would murray's style of fighting really work against Thaxton?

I think Murray would wear Thaxton down enough for a corner stoppage. His stamina is diminishing and his inability to get rid of the Frenchman last time surprised me.

Murray would have to watch out though, if Thaxton come up with a repeat of the Melero punch it could spell disaster.

Where the **** is Romanov anyway?

i wouldn't say thaxton is done - he was pretty much robbed of a 1st round KO of mezaache. so, at worst, thaxton is still a big risk early on due to his power and determination.

i think murray gets him on the back foot, uses a good offensive jab, gets thaxton swinging and missing, gradually breaks him down. hopefully a stoppage win.

I think Murray would probably outpoint Thax now,Jono has been a great fighter to watch over the years but the end cant be far away now.Think Murray would be too much for him at this stage of his career.

Stylistically this is a bad fight for Murray... if Jono has aything left. Murrays lack of head movement is tailor made for Jono. I think Murray has an awful lot to offer, but he needs to start utilising more movement. One thing that I have learnt is to never count Thaxton out, just when you think he's done, he comes back stronger than ever.

Thaxton represents the first decent puncher Murrays faced in his career. Thaxton will find the target in this fight- Murrays chin will be tested.

4 or 5 years ago, Thaxton. Now? Murray by stoppage in the 7/8 round

    Good domestic tear up though

Thaxton might not be the fighter he once was that is for sure..... But he has the dig that could leave Murray asking a lot of questions......I think that if Murray does not get involved and fights his own fight he will will this... if he gets drawn in by Thaxton he will lose...:bbb

Murray wins AND it'll be a good test for him. For me, Thaxton completely went downhill in the second half of the Mezaache fight and this is where Murray will beat him. One of the best domestic dust ups out there, IMO.
