I think there are many similarities in height build and fighting style Quartey has a better jab, who wins a prime Quartey or Clottey?

Quartey based on jab and workrate. I can see him winning a clear UD.

I don't see what the big fuss about. Quartey was a solid fighter but I was never blown away by his talent. In fact I thought his most impressive fights were in losing efforts to DLH and Vargas, as well as the the BS decision against Vernon Forrest. Quartey had a good chin but could be hurt while I have yet to see Clottey seriously hurt in a fight. Plus Clottey can put together good combinations with both hands. This fight is a pickem, but I think Ike actually ekes out a close decision by taking most of the early rounds.

Quartey by wide decision. There similiar fighters except Quartey is superior in nearly every area.

Quartey, he's consistent and professional. Both talented, but mentals and intangibles would decide in Ike's favor.

Clottey has a better D shell and is a better inside fighter. I think we are just coming into Clottey's prime and we'll see how good he will be in his next few fights. As of now Ike's Jab and overall boxing skills are superior. I see Ike winning this on workrate although I think it would be close.

Ike proved himself against the likes of De La Hoya(which I and many others had him winning), Carr, Lopez(in a tough bout), both Phillips, Forrest(when past prime only to be robbed), Espana(another tough bout which Ike was able to turn the tide and finish his opponent in).

Clottey has proven himself against Margarito and Judah, winning only one of the bouts. His workrate and jab are well behind Ike's, and his secondary tools don't surpass Ike's at all, nor does he have the style to back Ike up and deny him room to work, which is the style to have beaten him. Clottey is just a step below everywhere.

i'm anxious to see Clottey in his next big test. He's already had two tough tests, but neither of them were able to run thier natural courses. Against Marg he hurt his hand, against Judah the cut stopped the fight.. Hopefully in his next fights we can see some complete performances.

He said Ike would have stopped Judah in 4 or 5 rounds, not Clottey. But anyway, I think it would have been competitive early, but Quartey pulls away in the second half of the fight to win a clear UD.
