He makes $$$$$, not plsses other ppls $$$ away by making mismatch fights where solid A level fighters consistently get showcased against hasbeen B levelers as the main event, while paying the entire card more than th fair market value in hopes that an increased market share will eventually raise revenues and grow a strong foundation.
I don't like Ryabinsky personally, though Im freinds with Hryunov.
But....Ryabinsky creates monstrous events bringing the best fighters from across the globe into Russia, where they are embraced by the Russian public even if they're merely there for their name value, ie Jones and Toney.

Wladimir could have easily outbid Ryabinsky and forced Potvetkin to come to Germany, by why throw good money after bad, knowing he'd make 5X the amount and have little promotional expenses allowing Ry to carry the event and make the promoting profits.
Ry didnt care whether Potvetkin won or lost inasmuch as he wanted that 25-30% of the revenue generated by bringing the famous American to Moscow and creating a mega-event in which the Russian fans would spend large to see.

He's got some serious talent in the LMW division, and if he would bend some on network issues, he could go to the UK and pick up the WBO MW title, then build a major cross network PPV vs GGG in a unification fight.
Lets be real.
While Lara might not be the most amazing fan friendly fighter, he only loses by robbery.
He'd clown BJS worse than he did Trout, and that WBO MW title would earn him a 50/50 split vs GGG in the neighborhood of 5 mil.
VS Canelo in a rematch, he might get Lara close to 8 digits.

Some things worry me though.

What if a fighter gets a darker tan because he's been working out in the sun? Do I have to reduce my support for him in that case? Maybe we should email all the fighters and ask them for a neutral photo in natural light so that we can set up a database?
