The fight won't happen, Martinez is too big - Hence I would pick Martinez if they did fight, but I consider Floyd the greater fighter

Guys if Martinez is gonna win, his best chance is by decision, he's not knocking out Floyd..no way, no chance.

  4. you must joking. there s no way in hell that martinez can outbox floyd. no way. he gets hit way too much. a martinez win by knockout wouldnt surprise me however. u got it backwards.

    Floyd

Mart is a good but flawed fighter

Floyd can hit him with all kinds of rights.

    It'll be a competitive match

Right now or 3-6 months down the line. I'll go with Mayweather.
The best light middleweight Martinez vs the best light middleweight Mayweather. I still like Mayweather, but I think Martinez has a real chance to win.

I want to see how Sexy Sergio looks when he's in there against someone who's equally as good of an athlete or better, Cotto(e) and Saul don't count.

None of his opponents in the last few years have been particularly athletic.

Boxers who are vastly superior athletic specimen compared to their opponents can get hard wake up calls when pitted against another amazing athlete.

Floyd is fully capable of doing what Macklin did to make him successful.

Floyds ideal weight is 147, he started at 130 and hes always light at 154 when he fought Oscar and Cotto. The reason he took the Cotto fight is because Cotto started at light welter and is 5' 7". 154 is his weight limit and Floyd can handle his power as well as hurt him. On the other hand, Lickindick, started at welter which he already too big for. He's 5'10" and his ideal weight is 160. He is simply too big. Skillwise, he cant touch Floyd and he knows it. He is banking on bum rushing Money and wearing him down with his strenght and power and he has got a good chance of doing that but Mayweather ain't no fool and Lickindick can take that bull**** and fold it up and sit on it. If he's looking for a good fight, tripple G and Kid Chocolate is waiting. Most people who want to see him fight Floyd is just a Floyd hater and want him to lose,no matter what.:bbb

Floyd fanboys here are a bunch of pussies who hate ANYONE deemed a threat to floyd in the ring (Pac, Martinez) or his ATG status (Morales).

As for this matchup, I'd pick Sergio. The Floyd who fought DLH would be a much better matchup.

I don't think your argument holds much water considering (at this point) the majority of people who voted, voted in favor of Floyd, but this fight is almost 50/50.

This means that if you judge it by statistics, this is a very competitive fight on paper.

If people felt Martinez was too big, they statistics would be overwhelmingly in favor of him winning.

This is not the case. In fact the majority of people think Floyd will win this fight.

You totally missed my point, its not that I think Money will lose ( although there is a chance, simply because of size. Lets be real, Mayweather has the better skills but Sergio is a decent and seasoned fighter. That, along with his size and strength atvantages gives him too much an edge. If Mayweather had the power to hurt him and keep him honest then I could see the fight happening, otherwise it dont make sense for Mayweather. Its like a bull and a matador, only difference is, the bull got brains and all the matador got is a cape. Im looking at this logically and it dont make sense for Mayweather to take the fight.

If I was Mayweather, and I honestly didn't care about my legacy or what people thought about me, I would fight the opponent with the least risk highest reward ratio.

But if he wants to make the most money and also improve his legacy I think his best options are Martinez and Pacquaio.

I mean, what's the point of watching a sport if the outcome is a foregone conclusion. Would a Floyd vs Guerrero fight be exciting?
