I think this would demand on who had their best day? it would close no matter what and I think Pernell would win because of Mosley's relentless attacking style and his willingness to get in exchanges(kind of like a smaller Holyfield) but pernell's defense would be the difference here!:think

Mosley is the 'best' lightweight since Whitaker and Duran.

    I'd pick Pea in a 7-5 UD

Pea takes Sugar out of his comfort zone and boxes him en route to a UD - 8-4.

Whitaker has the workrate to outscore and unsettle Shane and the defensive brilliance to nullify Mosley's power and lightning fast attack.
    Sweet Pea UD 7-5.

    Whitaker 9-3, or 11-4 in a 15 rounder.

I think Whitaker would win easier than people think. Almost a wide decision. It would surprise many people.

Very good fight, I`d expect Mosely would give Whitaker a real tough time in there due to his speed & power but the better defence, jab & overall boxing skills of Whitaker would see him through on points IMO.

    Whitaker by decision.

Simply a more skilled, smart fighter.

Thats it exactly!...Pernell was a much smarter fighter. I give SP an edge in speed, defense, and being able to completely out jab Mosley while beating him to the punch. I just believe Pernell would have just been to much for Shane to handle , and more than likely sometime around the 5th 0r 6th round these two guys are gonna start trading it out which would turn this into Mosley fighting Pernells fight

I say Whitaker wins by KO around the eight. Maybe earier

Whitaker would win this as wide and as comfortably as he likes imo, different level of fighter and a dreadful style match-up for Mosley to boot.
