When I visualise them both they actually have some similarities in the very relaxed, slick, languid manner they move and work the jab.

Or, do you not think that's fair?

These fantasy match ups are fascinating, aren't they.

Sometimes, I wish there was some incredibly complex algorithm that computes every aspect of each fighter, like weight, reach, k.o percentage, the way they move, train, even down to their eye sight and foot size, which we then put it into the computer and gave us a proper video game type reenactment.

It would be a hundred times more detailed and complex than any game today.

Incredibly so. One of the worst I've ever seen for cuts. Not so much bruises, but definitely bad for cuts. Granite chin though. Took some absolutely horrifying shots of Monzon.

I always remember watching a documentary about Henry Cooper...our 'Enry, who put Ali on his backside that time.

Henry had terrible luck with cuts.

It was like his skin was made of wet paper.

Yeah, definitely agree. Languid's a great word to sum up how Robinson jabbed. Just flicked it out there like a snake. Brilliant. They weren't all too similar stylistically, but they were very similar in terms of their best attributes.

There's a fiery little Scot who was one helluva fighter. Extremely angry little guy, very aggressive but very real skills. He put two absolute clinics on Chartchai Chionoi, who's one of the greatest flyweights ever, but lost both on cuts.

    Feel free!

I'm a little upset with the lack of love I can give to Napoles in this thread. Can't favour him over the likes of Duran, Gavilan, and Hearns, but that makes me a little bit sad.

Imagine a proper WW tourney with the Sugar Rays, Mickey Walker, Jack Britton, Griffith, Rodriguez, Basilio, Ross, Armstrong, Lewis, etc; it'd be insane.

Had to go with the Hitman, he was damn near the perfect Welter, reach height, insane jab and tremendous power.

I have to admit I don't know much about Gavilan, gives me something to dig into!
