I think he'd beat Wilder right now. Wilder ain't gonna fight him though so that means Wlad is wasting his time. A farewell vs a decent opponent would be okay. Chisora my pick.
Come on we all know that. For example during the Klitsckho era Vitali had the WBC and Wladimir had the other 4, but everybody knew who is the better fighter and thats why Vladimir kept the WBC because that has the prestige. Or for example when Golovkin is showing his belts, always the WBC is around him in the first place. But my opinion is that he would still beat him on points, and the real heavyweight fight is Joshua vs Fury, not Joshua vs Wilder, because probably even Whyte would beat Wilder.
Who's more respected as a champion, Joshua or Wilder? A belt's prestige is commensurate with the champion that wears it, not the letters it holds.
Correct. Even the IBO Heavyweight title got some shine by virtue of Lennox Lewis holding it for a time.
Why are Joshua fans trying to prove that 42yo Wlad would beat Wilder? Wlad looked old and shot since jennings fight , he would get KO’d by Wilder now . Sure I would pick Wlad of 2012 to beat Wilder (and Joshua) , but now Wilder would just walk right through him. In other words until Joshua fights and beats wilder , I don’t see why would I want to rank him any higher than Wilder. Because of his win over 41yo Wlad hahahah ??!
well, he still might beat wilder. he also could beat joshua in a rematch. we know fury ran like a ***** from the contracted rematch. wlad needs to stay retired though. tough sport, the risks aren't worth it for a forty something with plenty of money.
1. The WBC isn't the most important belt 2. Wlad DID float the idea of the fight, shirley Winkle said NO. Klitschko had recently sparred wilder and beat the **** outta him.
c'mon, a guy with a recent track record of such paucity as pulev, jennings, wach, pianeta isnt going to face up to someone world class unless they know they have nothing to lose. Even Fury wasnt supposed to be a handful, given his record. and the same applies to wilder, hes basically wlad in the 90s with his wbo title. these two were never going to meet.
