Really? I don't disagree necessarily but I'd like to hear a break down on what your rationale is if you get a chance. Is it just a styles thing? Or a chin thing?
Good fight, seeing as Pulev would be right in front of Ortiz, I think Ortiz knocks him out, but Ortiz would have to take some licks in the process. That fight might actually happen though.
Ortiz seems on the slide to me. Okay we can give him a free pass for Malik 'Usain Bolt' Scott but a half-fit Dave Allen - durable though he is - should have been dispatched in greater style. Ortiz looking more and more like a aging plodder to me. I mean, do we really believe his official age? I reckon he could be mid-4s not late 30s. Pulev on points...
This content is protected Pulev ate the same right hand from Wlad over and over. Wlad hits hard, but he telegraphs his right hand. Pulev also keeps his right hand low, which is suicide against a southpaw like Ortiz. Wlad ended Pulev with a left hook and didn't even need his jab. Ortiz also has a longer reach than Wlad and would land on Pulev at will.
IMO Ortiz is overrated, he's essentially a southpaw plodder with a left hand. I think people think that he's more technical than he actually is just because he's Cuban. That said he has the style to beat Pulev if he can nullify the jab and if Pulev fights with his right hand down.
Pulev wins this fight, his jab is very underrated top 10 in boxing. He'll control the shorter slower footed Ortiz all night. Ortiz has great power and fast combos but he has trouble cutting off the ring. Pulev vs Wlad was a horrible match up for Pulev.
Me,too! Easy work,eh! Ortiz needed 7 rounds against a totally harmless english greenhorn and looked like a limited journeyman against Malik Scott. Pulev has probably the best jab in the big boys' league.I for one dont really see how the Cuban will be able to neutralize the Bulgarian's sharpest weapon.Ortiz is not really a big puncher,Pulev has a pretty decent chin.Sure,I wouldnt bet my house on the Bulgarian but to say that it is easy work for Ortiz to beat Pulev is a bit exaggeratedddd.
Ortiz, not sure what's wrong with him. He's fighting old right now and depending totally on a knockout to win. Pulev is open to the left hook though. It shouldn't be a competitive fight but Ortiz looks like he's declining.
Ortiz has only looked a bit frustrated against movers, he loves guys that just stand in front of him and Pulev is a statue. He'll have a field day countering his jab over the top. Ortiz is just different class altogether to Pulev imo.
He's had much more dominant performances over similar level competition. Thompson was competitive against Pulev, Ortiz schooled him before knocking him out. Pulev is pretty one dimensional, lacks power, shaky chin. Never understood the hype. Ortiz has the better skillset and better attributes. Pulev is around Bryant Jennings level imo.
Pulev on points with a couple of scary moments here and there. I think he'd work behind that jab and the power shots would start getting through mid rounds.
Not even close Ortiz will school pulev. All pulev has a jab, if Chisora put the effort he put in against Whyte in the pulev fight he stops him and I had money on a pulev decision that fight. I hope you guys put your money where your mouth is coz I betting big on Ortiz for that fight, it won't be competitive lol.
