Margarito never had a prime, and if he did, it wasn't at 154.

Really more people think Canelo would win? That is amazing. Canelo's stamina problems would be doom against Margarito.

Margarito was never prime at 154 and was never good at 154. It negated his size and strength advantages and that's why he struggled with Daniel Santos.

Without his plaster, Margarito would be done for against Canelo. He already showed he can't compete at that level without the concrete.

When did he show that? He hurt Pac to the body pretty good, but couldn't pin him down long enough. It was Pac's physically toughest fight in years. He fought pretty well vs Cotto for a guy that should not have been medically cleared with that eye.

    'ppreciate it. :good

He lost 3 out of his last 4 after getting busted for loading his wraps. Mosley thrashed him, Pacquiao just beat on him for 12, and he was completely outboxed in the Cotto rematch. He didn't belong in with the top guys.

He was outboxed (and punished worse) by Cotto for 6 rounds first time around, with 2 eyes. Taking into account he only had 1 eye, he didn't do half bad in the rematch. Cotto sure didn't take him lightly despite the gross handicap, imposing a CW to defend his belt.

He also did better than most vs Pac, and showed more than enough power, just couldn't consistently get to the much faster, also hard punching opponent.

Don't forget he's the only guy to convincingly beat MW Champ Martinez, no plaster.
