Two votes for Hopkins to KO Golovkin, Lol. But seriously speaking, i would like to see Hopkins fighting at 160 against GGG. He was such a spoiler but far most bigger compared to his opponents. This could end really bad and Hopkins would be ruined and he would never go to 175 to win title against Tarver. Seriously, this could have changed history.
Nearly 400 am fights and a whole pro career unbeaten and he still hasn't got anywhere near the ring craft of hopkins to win.
Hopkins with a supposedly otherworldly ringcraft and yet multiple losses, some against non-elite fighters. Hmm. Maybe ... MAYBE, ol' Popkins isn't as invincible as people like to think. I can't remember folk going out of their way to duck BHop, let's be honest.
GGG is just the kind of guy who Hopkins loved to take apart. He's slow and has leaky defense. Hopkins would box circles around this guy nothing he has done suggests he could beat a prime Hopkins at 160, and I mean nothing.
The last guy who tried that to GGG wasn't within 10000 light years of Hopkins either. Hopkins would bully GGG on the inside and outbox him on the outside. Hopkins has the ability to take GGG's power and he has better boxing ability based on showing this against better comp.
Who are these nobodies?? C level guys mandos and no-hopers? Not one elite fighter in the bunch that's what you GGG fans are failing to realize. GGG has not faced anyone like Hopkins who's the master at this. Hopkins is stronger than GGG and could do this to GGG. What planet are you on?
The old fox Hopkins got beaten like a drum by Kovalev, who is a lesser boxer than Golovkin. Hopkins would have to try and impose his size. But it's kind of hard to wrestle a guy who ... wait for it ... was a wrestler.
I think GGG is a better pressure fighter than Kovalev but Kova's awkward, unorthodox style would fare better against spoilers like B-Hop and Ward.
Hopkins vs. Tito was not Hopkins' prime, or that was the tail end of his prime. Prime Bernard was roughly 96-2000. That version moved and walked to you and was a right handed gunslinger. That version beats Golovkin handily. I can't say by stoppage (Golovkin's chin looks granite right now), but he definitely beats Golovkin, no question. Better handspeed, better punch variety, far better footwork, far better defense.
