All the best to Pryor but his really would not be that competitive. If you want to beat Duran by moving forward, throwing a lot and being aggressive then you need to be at a different level to Aaron and start at least a full 2 divisions higher or be Henry Armstrong. And even that might not have been enough.

Could go either way, but as stated by a few beforehand, Duran's competition is a little more proven as far as taking punches, so Pryor would probably lose a UD in a 15 rounder.

I always thought Aaron Pryor got by on recklessness and strength at 140. But that is where the buck stops for Pryor. Pryor's sloppiness and poor defense makes him an easy target for the sharper Duran at 140 pounds....... Duran was way too much of a skilled technician compared the the highly hyped Aaron Pryor at 140......

Duran's overall comp by 1980 SMOKES whatever Pryor accomplished through his entire career......... 'Nuff said......

Like i said im sticking with Pryor,i think would have beaten him,you guys really overrate Duran,he was was a great great fighter,to me did the ultimate shameful thing he quit,Pryor would have never quit against Leonard, being a quiter is being a ***** and thats exactly what Duran looked like in his 2nd fight with SRL.

Pryor's greatest wins were over a 34 year old Tony Cervantes in 1980 and a 30 year old Arguello in 1982 / '83.......

Pryor at age 30 looked terrible against Gary Hinton on TV later in 1985 in defense of his acquired IBF belt........ After that fight, Pryor was never again the same man.....

Duran on points, too good defensively, more accurate & has the power to get respect from the iron chinned Hawk.

Duran is no quitter. at least I dont believe it. But there's no way he's steamrolling Pryor like some here are saying, after seeing the way he dismantled Arguello with a late round surge. that was what I call taking it to the next level. Pryor took it to the next level the way Hagler took his performances to the next level. Pryor is an outstanding boxer which people here have not really noticed in the Arguello fight

There's a difference between being a "quitter" and quitting once out of 100+ fights. You wouldn't call Nigel Benn a quitter, would you, even though he quit against Collins?

With a popped ankle, that put him on the floor without being hit. Then getting up, fighting through the pain and trying anyway, though clearly, badly injured, you piece of ****ing ****. He didn't throw his dummy out like a big baby because he was being outclassed and embarrassed.
