Norris is just too fast for him. leonard has never faced a well balanced, multi dimensional fighter with the hand and footspeed of Norris.

This is a road runner-Wile E. Coyote situation in which he could never catch him and winds up taking his lumps in an embarrassing defeat

In the rare event he cornered Norris, he becomes much more dangerous and leonard has no choice but to back off.

Should Norris ever get shaken, he would simply tie his man up the way he did in their actual fight.

Since this is a contest between two boxers, one much faster than the other, it must go to Norris. And a knockout in Leonard's favor is simply out of the question since he doesnt have the power of one punch knockout artist Julian Jackson

You would'nt ask such a question if you had actually seened the fight which I doubt you have. From the 3rd round on it was obvious Terry carried Leonard in the fight.

This is a dumbass thread. Leonard was never a prime fighter @ 154! he was a welterweight. IMO Welterweight & Light middleweight are completely different. I pick Norris to win this fight by knockout b/c ray would trade shots & get caught. Leonard would not have enough speed @ 154 to match Norris.

I would go for Leonard. Terry Norris is one of my favourite fighters but he would get drawn into a fight too much and he would get nailed against Leonard imo.

Terry Norris is not a huge puncher like some people seem to think, he was a stiff puncher that got to you with accumulation, he had a few one punch finishes (Gatti,Mugabi ) but most his fights were from TKO's where he wore the opponent down( Taylor, Curry) and even though he was giving Blocker the shellecking of his life he did not do what Trinidad was able to do to him, he also beat up on Paul Vaden and did not really hurt him to what i remember. Mike McCallum cleaned Curry's clock and Norris beat on him round after round and eventually stopped him.

You have given the answer yourself in your analysis.

Sugar Ray Leonard wins this one.

If it took him a few rounds to deal with a shot Curry, whats a prime Leonard gonna do to him.

It took nine rounds of struggling for prime leonard to put away a punching bag with no punch and couldnt do anything but stand in front of him. Think how much more he's going to struggle hitting air and catching leather.

It took nine rounds for prime leonard to put a away a midget like opponent that decked and retired him.

Norris has his number and always will

Simon Brown was a big puncher and Terry made the mistake of coming out flatfooted.

When Terry puts it all together as he did in the rematch, he can't be touched.

Not only can he not be touched but he wins every round in decisive fashion which Leonard was never able to do

Norris wins @ 154.... no doubt about it.

He is one of the most talented & underrated fighters i've ever had the privilege to watch (other than Azumah Nelson)

Amen! Norris is just too quick and too slick even for an accomplished fighter like Leonard. Even Leonard can't win them all.
