:patsch Have you never seen Porter, dude? He grunts just as much.

    Perhaps more.

Alexander, Porter, the Peterson bros, Juan Diaz - those are the p4p top grunters in recent years. It's that carryover from the amateurs ****. Any coach who lets boxers hang on to such a habit into the pros needs to be drawn and quartered. :yep

Well. I'm in disagreement with the majority on this one as I think Porter will be digging deep in Alexander's ass. The same type of aggression that Bradley brought to Alexander and he couldn't handle is the same type that Porter will bring only with a bigger frame and a harder punch. This won't be a cakewalk for Alexander and there is 50/50 chance that he could lose.

Porter does exhibit some of Bradley's qualities, but is on a much lower tier of talent, skill and discipline.

Bradley vs. Alexander wasn't uncompetitive while it lasted (despite being ugly, and despite still ultimately being a clear victory for Bradley) so there is no reason to believe Alexander can't walk a contest with a very, very, very, very, very, very poor man's Bradley.

Actually, Porter is kind of like a very (x6) poor man's hybrid of Bradley and Alexander...

Naw, he's not a poor man's Bradley, He's a bigger version of the same Bradley that fought Alexander. Bradley only refined his boxing skills as of late and I must add, after studying Mayweather. If Alexander haven't tightened his game up to address that style of fighter then his ass is in real trouble.:bbb

The green Bradley who outpointed Vazquez and Witter >>> Porter, at least pound for pound if not head to head. I can't see Porter going abroad to convincingly take someone's title. I wouldn't favor him over even the weakest recent paper champs in either of the divisions between which he bounces. That means Slava Tissue Face Senchenko, K9 Bundrage, etc

It comes down to accuracy. Porter has plenty of speed and yes can maintain high volume of attack but he couldn't hit the broad side of a barn while operating an industrial crane. His form is abysmal. His accuracy is nonexistent. If he touches anyone it happens from blind luck, the law of averages.

His speed may be comparable and his work rate higher, but his accuracy is far poorer than Alexander's...whose accuracy in turn is poorer than Bradley's, hence the loss. (and Bradley himself can't hold a candle to a Mayweather's accuracy)

I hear you and I ain't mad at ya but so far all you have given me is an opinion and while I respect that, I happen to disagree as my opinion differs. What I'm saying is that the Porter that's fighting right now is a bigger version of the Bradley that fought Alexander. I also believe that in his present state that he would beat Vasquez and knock Witter out. As for his accuracy, obviously it's good enough because his work rate is excellent. It wasn't Alexander's lack of accuracy that cost him the fight with Bradley but rather his lack of heart. Like I said and believe, If Alexander hasn't learned anything from the Bradley fight then his ass is in trouble. That's just my opinion.:bbb

How could I forget the Original Groansta?! :patsch

He puts all them suckas to shame. Dude puts on a barking clinic every time he climbs between the ropes.

(he got robbed against Cintron, however, as for once there was a much higher disparity between his actual connects - despite being masked by the barks - and Puto's. It was a case of the boy who cried "Woof...woof...woof!", if you please... :D)

 yeah he was definitely robbed vs Cintron. If you click on any random spot in that fight, you can hear him barking :wall

Devon should win a comfortable decision. Porter looked like his boxing growth was stunted the last couple times I saw him.
