Seamust keeps lying. One must attain at least one skill in life.

    Where have I lied?

I can rightly point to several accusations you have made that have been proven false by your inability to provide evidence to back them. That, by all standards, makes you a liar. And an intellectual coward. Do you know how to spell coward? C-O-W-A-R-D.

Ketchel looks better against Papke, than Kovalev looks here.

What a pointless comment. Ketchel recieved glowing praise, but not for the fights we have footage of, when his stupidly hard career, and life outside of the ring was catching up to him. Ketchel certainly has a much better track record when he faced the best, both in winning and getting stoppages.

Ketchel would have to withstand quite the beating to get to Kovalev and pound him. Ketchel was a very talented fighter, but a wide slinger and a bit of a 'tough man' . Kovalev would feed him straight punches down the middle.

Ketchel is definitely the grittier and more natural fighter of the two. The question is, can Ketchel's grit prevail before Kovalev's punches?

I've always thought Kovalev is a good "on top fighter," but wobbles when things don't go his way.
He proved he could gut it out when Yarde had him on ***** street but Yarde shot his bolt in doing so and Kova was let off the hook. Mendoza did call Kovalev an ATG ,I don't remember Seamus doing so , and he has asked you several times to post that quote from him. So why haven't you done so?

    Perfect description of Kovalev.

Seems, like some other boxers, he's taking the life seriously now, but unfortunately past his peak.

I agree that Kovalev is something of a spiteful frontrunner. I think that he'd always do well against skilled but lighter hitting boxer/mover types who he could dictate range and pace against or simply go after with hard straight punches without fear of reprisal. Not so much hard punchers with the chin to take his better shots without folding or skilled offensive boxer-punchers who are willing to march in with a bit of defensive nous and let their hands go. I could see him giving someone like Willie Pastrano serious trouble but getting beaten up by someone like Qawi or Galindez.

Ketchel just doesn't look that good on the films of him that I have seen, whereas Kovalev in his prime looks like a million bucks. I know Ketchel is the greater fighter of the two historically, but frankly I'd be pretty comfortable in putting the house on a prime Kovalev stopping the versions of Ketchel that I have seen on film. This latest depleted 6 round version of Kovalev might be vulnerable to a legendary hard man like Ketchel, I guess.

We don't have much footage of Ketchel, we have his exhibition gone wrong against Jack Johnson and one of his bouts with Papke which was basically a wrestling match. If you combine the footage with descriptions, Ketchel is pretty much a wild brawler, a sort of middleweight Wilder, not much in the way of technique but very heavy handed although this is mostly guess work. Kovalev in his prime would have used his jab to control distance, counter Ketchel's right with his own power hand and feint Stanley into corners. But, Kova has a tendency to throw the sweet science out of the window and brawl, which is what cost him a few rounds and probably some brain cells in the Yarde fight. If Kova gets into a artless slugfest with Ketchel he'd probably get his brains knocked out.

Would Ketchel’s power be ludicrous with modern boxing gloves while fighting a guy who was about the same size as Jack Johnson?

Kovalev would mop the floor with him.

This is a possibility imo .Just getting past Kova's jab is going to be a task on it's own,

Johnson was probably in the range of 205-210 lbs when he fought Ketchel. Johnson was a heavyweight. What weight does Kovalev fight? Last I heard he is a LIGHT heavyweight so how are they “about the same size”?
