With a few more learning fights Price certainly has it in him to beat Chisora, but at the minute I think Del has him beat in most areas, David won't be able to get the leverage on his shots, and would be hit much more than what he's used to. Clearly Chisora is no mug, but it's a sorry state of affairs when he's the closest thing to a Tyson or Frazier type that we have currently.
Price doesn't keep people on the end of his reach because he paws with the jab and has bad timing when somebody presses the action, he has a bad defence, he doesn't have the quickest hands and he backs off in a straight line rather than clinch despite all this. Against Chisora he's ****ed, Del has far better head movement than McDermott (who landed a couple despite crumbling everytime he took one himself) and a better chin. Chisoras punch technique is terrible though so it probably wouldn't be a quick blow out but Price is ripe for one.
Cheers. I'd stay well away from guys like Chisora if I was Maloney, Price can get a ton of hype behind him destroying people that will let him fight at his own pace and then cash out against Klitschko who incidentally is the best Champion you could hope to face stylistically if your David Price. He will probably look like a world beater against Sam Sexton who will, I'm almost certain, let Price take as long as he wants to measure his right hand and detonate it when he feels comfortable. Even if Sam wants to press the action he doesn't have the speed, power or chin to do so and stay standing for long. Del Boy does though....... It doesn't matter how bad the person fighting Price has been, even pregnant Latvians, when ever they have been aggressive they have landed something and made Price retreat. Non of them have had good head movement or strong enough chins to do much more than than land a couple of shots but then get knocked out or lose a boring points decision. Chisora has though and he will keep on being aggressive and make Price fight his fight. Seeing Price get stopped at amateur before I don't think it would be long before even a crude relatively light punching Chisora would get the stoppage.
