Nah, no disrespect at all. It was a real question. I wouldn't blame anyone a bit younger for not being influenced by the atmosphere around Tyson at the time. Those of us who are older have had some clue about this for a long time.. It's just a little surreal to see it in text is all.

Why even argue with you? Do you know the circumstances behind Buster's win over Tyson? The stars aligned for him as a result of unfortunate events. He had just lost his mother a few weeks before fighting Tyson and the mother of his son was ill with a kidney problem. He basically went into the Tyson fight with a "I don't give a ****, I'm gonna kick this guy's ass attitude." Nowhere else in Buster's career did that fighter (or that fighting will for that matter) ever surface prior to the Tyson fight or after. Tyson didn't want to be in Japan and certainly didn't care to train hard enough to take Douglas seriously. Your prototype was merely a mirage who happened to fight the fight of his life using the God-given talents that he simply could not conjure up for most of his career. Douglas had all the tools but he just didn't have the mentality. Kind of like a loaded gun that doesn't seem to fire. Tyson was, on the other hand, a machine when he wanted it and by February of 1990 he just wanted to be left alone. He is the type of fighter that would beat Vitali. He had the tools and knew how to use them.

Yes, I was aware of that info..i also remember Douglas was ko'd by one punch vs holyfield the next fight , right? what was the excuse that night? Noone ever cares about the KBROS excuses when they lose but quick to let others off easy..wtf..

    I don't know who.

But I know something. Vitlay couldn't do any more than wobble Lewis, and he landed A LOT of hard, flush punches, and by the end of Round 6, Lewis was obviously willing to take 2 of Vitalys to land 1 of his own. And we saw how that turned out.

Now, Lewis would find it far easier to hit Vitlay than Tyson - Lewis really being one of the few men big enough and strong enough to reach Vitlay when he does that lean away defence - but the point being, Tyson would just walk through Vitlay after a round or 2.
