Oh, and when did this start about losers doing better in the rematch? Based of last niht's evidence DeGale STILL hadn't worked Groves out by the end. And Groves was sitting on his shots a bit more by that point.
Yawn. This implies that the fight wasn't close enough that it could have been scored the other way. If this is how you genuinely feel then I suggest you watch more Boxing, or at the very least rewatch the fight on mute so you don't have Watt swaying your opinion. It was a debatable decision, and any other opinion is non-sensical.
The key thing that i took from last night is that Groves is prepared (and able) to tweak his game to fight a different style to his natural tendencies. The difference in footwork and movement from the Anderson fight was immense, and Groves ability & willingness to learn and address his weaknesses may well result in him being more succesful longer term, regardless of DeGale's advantage of more natural talent. His temperament also looks good - there must have been a lot of blood seeping into his eyes in the last few rounds, but he still stayed focused and didn't panic (and never moaned to the ref about DeGale's elbows etc). For two guys who have had so few fights, i thought it was a a great fight. Both have flaws, both have strengths but hopefully both do go on to be world champions, as the more we have from britain the better.
sorry addie...you misunderstand me...i was making the point about degale not 'going for it' like i thought he would have more...he seemed happy to hang back at times and wasnt as forceful as i thought he could have been..lazy at times
