I really strongly believe Kovalev stops ward this time, he knows he's the better fighter when both are at 100% charged. Kovalev only has to address his lack of conditioning and his offense, can't wait for the perfect shot like he likes to do. It's possible we've seen the last of krusher, he looked horrid in his previous match, maybe he's aged for some odd reason. Never know, he did look like a weakened fighter his last 2 fights, time will tell, always does. That would explain his lackluster performance, I was shocked at how weak he was, was like a different fighter and NO, had nothing to do with ward because ward really didn't even start trying to maul until round 5 and Kovalev was already weakened by round 4, was weird
Yep. I compared Ward-Kovalev to Hagler-Leonard too, in terms of how controversial the fight was. Hagler-Leonard is one of my favorite fights and still think Leonard won 7-5!
Yeah. She has a lot of talent. The longer you watch the more into it you get. This content is protected
Ward lost the first fight, had to count on his judges to give him a decision. SOB knows that all he has to do is be standing at the bell to get a decision because he cheats. SOB got knocked down, his face busted up, next time Kovalev will knock the SOB piece of fecal matter out!!!
Since I gave Kovalev the first fight in a CLOSE contest, I'm going with Kovalev based on Kharma. However, Ward seems like the kind of fighter who makes adjustments. I hope Kov wins and it becomes a trilogy.
Tough one. On one hand Ward demonstrated superb IQ and great ability to adjust and change the game. On the other Kovalev always does better in a re-match - Boone, Pascal 2... P.S. Kovalev did seem to have lost some of his steam in his last two fights. I wonder could it be Father Time or something else...
Ward's blueprint, I'm afraid, will be to take the fight inside more than the first fight, territory he must now feel he can totally own. Kov must try to keep it at mid-range. I think it's easier for Ward to impose his blueprint for the rematch than Kov can his.
He had to run in like a linebacker to do it. Kovalev just needs to use just one arm around the neck and hit with the other one this time
Quite possibly you're right. Worrying though, with such a simple solution to dealing with this, Kov couldn't adjust during the fight. Sounds like you're questioning his ring IQ?
