The last poll has about 2/3 saying Whyte, 1/3 saying Povetkin. I had called Povetkin, correctly thinking that, as the more versatile fighter he would get him with the counter, although I had the hands reversed nd though it would be an overhand right.

Povetkin's promotor says that Sascha is down for it, so it is going to happen, probably in December.

    Who we got this time?

Povetkin will come with a game plan, he has figured Whyte out.

Whyte would need to come in better shape than ever because he can't rely on the shot that took out Browne and Chisora because Sasha has a granite chin.

He can't sit there and trade like and idiot because he is always going lost that as Povetkin is far more technical and efficient.

He can win but he needs to win ugly like AJ did against Ruiz fight a long range defensive type of fight..

Expect AJ vs Ruiz 2.. He’s tasted Povetkin’s power so he’ll play it safe jab and grab style..

    Let's just recap.
Whyte and Povetkin fought for a world title fight slot.
Povetkin KO'd Whyte cold. (Not a draw, robbery, NC, premature stoppage)
Now Whyte gets a do over so we can erase the Povetkin win and still get Whyte his title shot.
If Whyte wins it is 1:1 and he goes on to the title shot because he got a win eventually?
When has this ever been seen?

So Povetkin will practically need two KOs to win an eliminator (he is not winning on points as we know). Even if it was two non-KO wins, the level of corruption here from Hearn/Sky/Matchroom is next level. And the media and fans are so pathetic that Hearn just presents this as though it's perfectly normal and gets away with it.

Anyone who now pretends Whyte is a victim and not a privileged pet rat of these scumbags officially has zero integrity. Whyte is one of the most privileged fighters out there.

Whyte has never been a victim he chooses his battles wisely tbh.. The IBF ordered him to fight Pulev for an IBF shot and he declined. The WBC ordered him to fight Ortiz twice and he refused. The WBC and Dominic Breazeale agreed put his mandatory on the line before Wilder vs Fury 1 and he instead chose to rematch Chisora.. AJ offered him $5 million after he beat Chisora and he chose to fight Rivas for the WBC mandatory. Before fighting Rivas he fails a PED test and didn’t alert Rivas’s team or nothing. For that reason he is forced to wait until he was cleared before being reinstated. That’s far from a person who’s getting a raw deal.

The only thing that would change in the rematch is, Povetkin wouldn't exchange, and instead just wait for his opening, and take it when it eventually presents itself. I could see him ending the rematch with the exact same punch as he ended the first.

same thing with Wilder years ago. The system is rigged beyond belief and their are “favorite” fighters that get special treatment without merit. Whyte to his credit was on a good run, but Povetkin should not have to fight and win again after that conclusion.

Whyte has used up all his luck. Sasha will take him out even quicker next time.

    Povetkin KO again.
Whyte is still learning on the job, whereas Povetkin has seen it all. I think he has Whyte figured out now.
I don't think Whyte would be able to make the defensive adjustments in time for an immediate rematch.

Povetkin has to be the favourite as he won the first fight. But lets be honest, Povetkin was close to being taken out himself in the previous round the rematch is going to be very competitive again.

I suspect we'll see a more cautious Whyte in the rematch he'll probably get deeper into the fight next time but at some point he'll make a mistake again, open himself up and Povetkin will probably again put him to sleep.

Hard to tell, Povetkin was getting beat didn't look that good, If Whyte can avoid getting hit with a huge shot he can easily win.

Whyte was favorite for the first fight I think and he'll be favorite for the second again, but Povetkin can beat Whyte again for sure. 60/40 in favor of Whyte maybe.

Interestingly, Whyte said he doesn't need much change in his gameplan because everything worked except for being caught once. So I think Povetkin will make changes to avoid jab and bodyshots. It will be very interesting, because it's Povetkin's first re-match of his career.

Anyway, Whyte's possible victory over Povetkin will now not mean that much anymore. And if Povetkin loses, people won't discredit him for that. He's earned his reputation. So for Whyte it's about limiting the damage and moving on. And for Povetkin it's about enjoying an other elite-level fight.

Whyte is a hypocrite. He bitched for yrs about how the wbc never gave him a title shot, he then stacks all cards in his favour and cherry picks povetkin because hes a big ish name. Now povetkin is in mandatory position, and whyte wants a rematch. It stinks. How come its always the loser crying for a rematch ?

Whyte was in control before he was stopped. Povetkin will fade as the fight goes on. Whyte could give away the first 3 rounds and get a late stoppage.

    Whyte win tko 8
