There's been quite a few usa vs ee match ups posted on here lately and I thought I'd join the club who wins these? Beterbeiv vs Roy Jones Jr Kovalev vs Chad Dawson GGG vs Reggie Johnson Arbachakov vs Too Sharp Kostya Tszyu vs Buddy McGirt I think theres a few really cool fights here, and I think both sides could win. Please keep it about boxing and not nationality. I only mentioned it as to show that there was a theme not an agenda.
If a short left hook from Callum Johnson can put Beterbeiv on ***** street, and have him running like a thief for two rounds then I shudder to think what a quick lead right, and a big leaping left hook would do to him. And Gvozdyk showed that Beterbeiv isn't hard to hit with a sneaky cross counter. Kovalev wins on points IMO. Sergey's jab was excellent at micromanaging the space between two fighters, and I think this let's him get off first and find home with his straight right. Which Dawson gets dropped by at some point. Dawson ends up running a lot to survive. Dawson achieved more, though. GGG vs Reggie is a good match, I think GGG's jab makes the difference. Golovkin probably gets the better of a razor tight decision due to being a bit more active and throwing more power shots. Reggie makes him look really bad at times, and lands some big ass shots. I think Ebihara was too good, too skilled and unironically, too sharp for Mark. His form was immaculate, and he was quite a bit bigger than Johnson too. I think he'd win on points, after landing the better shots and basically just timing Johnson's aggression. Too Sharp had a better defence, but wasn't a better fighter IMO. I'd pick Tszyu with little confidence. Buddy was really good vs the aggressive bulls and Kostya was really good vs the out-boxers. I don't think Buddy, even though he's an underrated puncher, forces KT to give him enough respect to win.
