According to how I would rank them from lowest to highest, who would win this tournament? Jorge Luis Gonzalez vs. Nino Valdes Gerry Cooney vs. John Tate Nikolai Valuev vs. Primo Carnera Cleveland Williams vs. Carl Williams Ron Lyle vs. Michael Grant Lennox Lewis vs. Ernie Terrell George Foreman vs. Riddick Bowe I have Valdes knocking out Gonzalez, Cooney stopping Tate, Carnera decisioning Valuev, Cleve knocking out the Truth, and fast, Lyle stopping Grant late, Lewis outjabbing Terrell for an MD or UD, and Foreman beating Bowe by an SD. Valdes vs. Cooney Carnera vs. Williams Lyle vs. Lewis Foreman oops, now Foreman has no match! Well, I'll just throw in Henry Akinwande. Cooney decisions Valdes, Williams stops Carnera, Lewis SD's Lyle, and Foreman KO's Akinwande, leaving Cooney, Williams, Lewis, and Foreman. Williams would stop Cooney and I think Foreman would stop Lewis. I really didn't think this would boil down to Williams against Foreman, but I have Foreman winning that fight. I just thought I'd give one of these weird posts u guys do a try.
This does not make sense. Does everybody fight everybody ?! Or do the winners of each match face each other ? And if so, how do they do that since there are 7 matches ?! Does the winner of match 1 face the winner of match 2 ? Or do you draw again after the first round to see who faces who ?!?
Bowe and Lewis meet in the final, I have literally zero doubt about that. It's almost a 50/50 IMO, but I normally pick Lewis due to his better jab and Bowe being very hittable. Being hittable and going straight at Lewis is not a good idea.
That's now how a tournament works my dude. If you can get 16 Boxers and do single elimination from there based on the rankings. You kinda ruin your own idea with the lack of participants and structure.
Now you're starting to confuse me Johnny B. I guess we could split it into 2 groups. You match up fighters in two groups, and the number would need to be 16, since 14 ends in an odd number of participants. Then after all of the set matches within both groups have faced off, they face off with each other, and again until it'd down to the best man from each group.
