Hearns by ko. He just hit too hard and could box too good for the much smaller armstrong. Robinson could not knock armstrong out but hearns could and would. His right hand was pure dynamite and would have blown armstrong to bits. No disrespect to "hammering hank", he was a great fighter. However, he was just too small to beat hearns would just be waiting for him to come inside. This is a mismaitch.

Hearns by KO in 1 or 2. This wouldn't be marginally competitive. Get a clue people.

Hearns in 6 or under, probably would be a 1 sided beating

Who did Hearns beat at 147 that makes us think Henry Armstrong would have no chance? Anyone remember Hearn's getting pasted by Harold Weston, a short welter, til a thumb busted Harold up. How about Randy Shields extending Hearns , tiring him out and making him look ordinary ... At 147 if Hearns did not take out Armstrong in three rounds he'd get destroyed ... Hearns is over rated here ... he had an shaky chin his whole career, didn't take it to the body well at all and had very questionable stamina ... Armstrong was no slob on defense like Cuevas. Henry was much more like the Paq we saw against Oscar ... in addition he had an iron chin ... Hearns was exceptionally dangerous for the first four rounds or so at welter but could be beaten ... it's an excellent, interesting match up ..

I'm inclined to say Hearns would be a nightmare for Henry, given his height and reach advantage. But given Armstrong's tenacity and toughness, I don't think it's out of the question to say that if he found a way under Tommy's jab and got to the ribs, he could possibly wear Tommy down. As someone said earlier, Hearns was a skeleton at 147. I think Tommy would need to get him out quickly, like he did Duran, or else Henry might get him late.
