The only one I'd like to comment on is Young-Morrison. Young would have frustrated Morrision all night. There's no way Jimmy would have let Tommy land anything. Meanwhile, Young would have countered every wild swing Morrison could offer. Young a unanimous decision, a lopsided and clinical decision over Morrison.

For my money the winners of round 1 are Tua, Ruddock, Young and Mercer. Tua vs Ruddock = Tua TKO Young vs Mercer = Young UD Round 3 will be Tua vs Young Young wins the tournament by UD.
Quarry/Tua: Quarry has one or two scarey moments but gets the decision fairly easily. Quarry WU15 (10-5) Lyle/Ruddock: Lyle edges the fight for half dozen rounds, until he is caught with the smash in seventh Ruddock KO7 Young/Morrison: Morrison dominates the early rounds, but eventually grows fustrated and Young gains control scoring a knockdown or two in the championship rounds to gain the decision. Young WU15 (8-7; but with a couple of 10/8's) Shavers/Mercer Dull fight for eight until Shavers chin lets him down. Mercer KO9 Semi Finals Quarry/Ruddock: Quarry is two cute and dominates stopping Razor late Quarry TKO13 Young/Mercer: Cagey dull fight, where Young gives Mercer too much respect and drops the razor thin decision Mercer WS15 (8-7) Final Quarry/Mercer: Quarry has to much about him and easily outworks Mercer. Ray does land his fair share of left hooks and cuts Quarry late, to give him hope, but in the end Quarry wins the fairly easy decision. Quarry WU15 (9-6)
I like this one! Good picks for this tourney! My picks: Round 1: 1.) Tua TKO 9 Quarry 2.) Lyle TKO 11 Ruddock 3.) Young W 15 Morrison 4.) Mercer KO 4 Shavers Round 2: Tua KO 7 Lyle Young W 15 Mercer Round 3: Tua TKO 12 Young For the record, Lyle versus Tua would be my favorite fight of the tournament. It would be an incredible barn-burner. I still think Tua's edge in power and durability would see him wear down and stop Lyle.
