No, you couldn't arguably give all twelve rounds to Alexander anymore than it would be viable to give Alexander eight of the twelve rounds. That was by no means a shutout or even close to that. Even of the people who saw it for Kotelnik something like 116-112, many are acknowledging that a draw or slight win for Alexander is possible.
117-111 Kotelnik. He won the fight clearly imo, its all good and well Alexander throwing a lot of punches but he wasn't landing ****. When they went toe-to-toe Kotelnik was getting the better of him, he chased around the ring, hunted him down and landed the much cleaner, effective shots. Alexander was punching carbon dioxide, gloves and arms!
I would say that it is a fight I'm looking forward to. On one hand, Khan handled Kotelnik which is a guy Alexander had issues with. On the other hand, Prescott starched Khan inside of a round and there's a snowball's chance in hell that'd happen to Alexander.
yes, you really could. Give me one round, just one, that Alexander won beyond the shadow of a doubt. People acknowledging a slight win for Alexander are the vast minority which is the case with every robbery you always have a handful of people saying it wasn't one.
why? He doesn't have to win beyond the shadow of a doubt to get the round, he just needs to win it. I guess unless you're a Don King judge or your name is Marnoff. You have to win a round beyond the shadow of a doubt for someone to say that giving it to the opponent is "outrageous" which is what you're saying about my scorecard. I can give you 5 rounds that Kotelnik won beyond the shadow of a doubt, which makes the judges 8-4 scorecards corrupt and outrageous.
1. I was responding to your request. 2. I won't argue with Kotelnik winning five rounds. In fact, I scored five of them for him.
1. I didn't mark on my scorecard which rounds were "clear beyond the shadow of a doubt for Alexander". 2. I don't know that and can't say one way or the other. It's possible that they were and possible that they weren't.
It's funny, I watched this fight twice, and IMO the majority of the rounds were close....... but then again, I guess I'm unusual among boxing fans in that I really dont score the fights in my head as Im watching them
1. You wouldn't need to mark anything on your scorecard cause there weren't any. 2. You just don't wanna say.
If I didn't know any better I'd say you were being overly generous to Kotelnik to shine Khan up a little more.
If you didn't know any better, you'd be wrong about that. If Alexander had fought Kotelnik's fight and vice-versa, I'd be saying Alexander took Kotelnik to school worse than Khan.
It's interesting to note that ESB is mainly a North American website and the poll is still very lop-sided. If this poll were held in the Ukraine and/or Germany I'm fairly confident 90%+ will have it in favor of Kotelnik.
