That shoulder injury crap is bs. His shoulder looked fine the first 5 rds, all of a sudden.it started to hurt? He kept throwing it also but couldnt keep JLC off of him and had to fight inside where he wasnt having much success. Castillo deserves all the credit. But ur right he should have rematched PDL to set the record straight.
If you don't believe Mayweather had a shoudler injury explain why he dominated Castillo in the second fight whereas in the first fight he had a lot of trouble? Mayweather has said he had a shoudler injury in the first fight and thats why he performed poorly, he only mentioned it once though because Mayweather doesn't like to make excuses. Its not like he drastically changed his style in the second fight.
He made adjustments. The main adjustment he made is he had to get off first and he did a better job at it throughout the entire 2nd fight.
atsch This argument is weak as ****, though I will explain for you, Floyd had a 2nd chance to adjust his game plan, in other words he went back to the drawing board looked at the tape took notes on the mistakes he made, took notes on Castillos strong points and his weak points and put together and entirely different game plan for the rematch.....
I actually think THIS argument is weak as ****. Castillo could have done the same exact thing for the rematch. They both had VCRs, trainers, gyms, and time bro.
It's a fact that Mayweather injured his shoulder in days before the first Castillo fight. 1:05-1:26 [yt]1ov6xoYMfbI[/yt] He also had a surgery on his shoulder after the fight. Thats proof enough.
I had it a draw but that's beside the point. This was supposed to be his first big test and a chance for him to shine and he did anything but. I always thought they'd rematch, especially when PDL picked up a belt. I can't see 6 rounds that could be given to broner. It was a terrible decision.
Boy, after rewatching that fight it kinda makes you think that this was just a foreshadowing of what would come for Broner. Even the commentators mentioned that Broner "doesn't throw enough punches" and it turned out to be his big downfall with Maidana. He was gonna lose big time eventually. The fact that Broner got outboxed by 2 club fighters in De Leon and Maidana despite having the superior athletic talents is hilarious. And people ACTUALLY thought that he's gotten better?
