Maybe in terms of actual life and death situations but not in sports. You said it yourself we have the fiercest rivalries, why the **** would we want to support an athlete from a country we have a fierce rivalry with. I'm a diehard red sox/pats/celtics fan. I WOULD NEVER EVER in anyway support the yankees/jets/yankees. I hate their ****ing guts when it comes to sports. Do I actually hate them as people? no. I ****ing do hate chisora though as hes a wife beater and I'm assuming a lot of people feel the same way. Claiming we have an affinity for him and that why we viewed the fight the way we did is just a cop out. Maybe if the fight was in any way close, but this **** was one sided and disgraceful. I guess though being from montreal you are used to defending robberies.

There could be something in that. However, when the numbers are so lopsided there is just no way. No one was saying that Haye was beating Wlad in that fight. Most people are able to seperate who they want to win and who is winning. If you like a fighter he might snare a few extra rounds but no way will you give a fighter 7 or 8 rounds he didn't deserve.

Yes, you could be right too. ESB polls generally just dont carry much weight - especially when boxers from different countries meet.

But that doesn't take anything from Chisora's great performance away from home.

Ameican media people generally do, and the fans opinions are largely based on what they say. The EPIX commentators were not even at the fight, they were watching from a screen in the USA.

Chisora deserved to win, but not by as wide a margin as 118-110. Interestingly, the UK commentators were much less biased and their scoring was generally accurate.

Well Duke had it close (even then he scored it to Dell Boy) but this is the guy that after 5 had it 2-1 to Chisora. He is notirously crap, the guys opinion is completely void. The other pundits had Chisora up by a couple, I think Enzo said he had it 116-112.

well now we know the real reason why you scored the fight for helenius, i guess being a white european fighting someone of color is enough for them to get the nod in your book lol. what a clueless moron you are, you have no idea how much you just exposed your personal agenda.

To me the saddest part is that the fight was actually very good. It was competitive every round, but clearly Chisora did more to win rounds. Whoever is saying that Chisora's punches were all blocked is related to one of the judges. Chisora was getting through to the body, up the middle and around the earmuffs Helenius had on.
It sucks we see a really good fight, and everybody following along in the RBR knew that a robbery was on the table, the fact we all knew it tells us something about this sport we give so much of our time too.
This is the worst decision I've seen all year, worse than Macklin-Sturm.
I really hope Chisora gets a shot at Povetkin next, he really deserves it. Helenius needs to get back to the gym and work on some **** and take a step back in his next fight I think. Chisora deserves a shot at a top guy, he earned it with this performance.
Also, I don't know what happened to Robert's hand, and I don't care, this is a fight, everybody who is a prizefighter gets hurt every single fight. He was still a stationary target, flat footed with shite for movement or defense. That needs to be worked on rather his hand was sore or not.

I had Chisora up by 4 rounds and that was me scoring conservatively because Sauerland was involved.
