Personally, I felt Clottey won this fight. I didn't have a problem with the decision, but I felt Clottey won 7 or 8 rounds and landed most of the clean punches. Right after this fight, most people felt that Cotto won a close but clear decision. However, I keep hearing many people now saying that Clottey won. Who do you guys feel won the fight?

When I watched it without scoring, I felt Clottey won also. That was the sense I got, but when I scored it by the book, I had Cotto by I think one point only (the KD made the difference). He wasn't the better boxer in there. Just the better man. But I wouldn't have complained had it gone the other way. Too close to complain if it's a draw or the other guy winning. This was thoroughly competitive. My only problem is that it shouldn't have been competitive with Cotto's cut. Clottey's nature just didn't allow him to take advantage of a very opportunistic situation that he was more than capable of taking advantage of.

    I scored it a draw, 114 apiece.

It wasn't a robbery, just very, very close.

I had Cotto 1 or 2 points up. Very close fight. Clottey did more damage but Cotto outworked him to pick up crucial points down the stretch.

Scoring the fight with the volume off i had it a draw b/c Clottey got knocked down but if Clottey was more aggressive he could have won that fight b/c he had Cotto on that bike towards the end. I would love to Clottey get a rematch with him and Margarito along with Baldomir.

He deserved a rematch with Cotto-the WBO champion, and since Cotto isn't the WBO champion anymore, I feel like it's actually a very just thing for him to get a shot at Pacquiao in a way.

This is an honest thread to see the impression of people now on that very close fight. Come on. This is discussion-worthy. Clottey's coming into the biggest fight of his career on the heels of a much talked about loss in the second biggest fight of his career.

I thought that Clottey won by about 1-2 rounds, but I have no problem with the decision because Clottey headbutted Cotto at least twice in that fight.

Clottey was the better fighter that night...But you cant just dominate a handful of rounds and expect to win the fight. If the whole fight was condensed into one round the Clottey would have been sweet, but thats not how boxing is scored. You just cant give rounds away when a fight is in the balance like that.
I scored it for Cotto but it was one of the those fights where I felt the wrong man got the nod. Kind of like Hatton-Collazo.

I still just cant understand how Josh let Miguel off the hook in that one, he had him right where he wanted him in the middle rounds and did not pull the trigger.
