I have it 116-112 for De la hoya. Most that think Trinidad won by a point or 2 needs to get a head exam. No way in hell that Trinidad won 7 rounds.

Judges probably gave Trinidad the last 3 10-8...for DLH running like a *****.

    Oscar won.

He wanted to win like a chump, in the biggest fight @ WW in a long time, and the judges made the right decision and stole it from him.

You can't win a top level fight like that. Well, IMO, you shouldn't be able too. Because it would set a horrible precedent, and a lot of fighters would train for 7 rounds, and then play prevent. Not really fan(business) friendly.

I did not follow all of what your talking about, but they had a falling out during that fight. That is why I mentioned the smile on Oscar's face. I forgot what the BS was about. It was so many years ago, but I remember harping about that.

Oscar won plain n simple. Shouldn't of run the last 4 rds but you can't say he didn't win the most rds in that fight. Just another bull**** decision in the history books.

This is the first guy I have seen with a good scorecard on this fight. This fight which I saw live was boring as hell and very close. When they show highlights of this fight, they show the same two rounds in which DLH landed cleanly and consistently. But people act like that was happening in every round.

It wasn't! In fact what was happening was this: DLH moving and throwing punches and landing in air on glove and then Lampley oohing and awing!

People who weren't even around have listened too so much BS from HBO they believe it.

Now go to DLH-Mosley II, DLH moving, throwing a jab, it occasionally lands for 3 rounds. Lampley oohing and awing. But the crowd in the venue, the judges, the press corp.....all see the same thing. An uneventful fight for 6 rounds where each guy got maybe 2 or 3 with and even round in there.

And then Mosley starting to land the heavier shots with DLH just moving and occasionally firing back. Fight to Mosley.

In the Tito fight the difference is Tito doesn't really land punches like Shane did but DLH doesn't even throw back in those late rounds.

DLH is the blame for both losses. He chose to run around the ring when he should have recognized it was close and he hadn't landed anything of note. I don't think Tito should have won I had it a draw but the way people led around by HBO talk about this fight you would think DLH was landing some piston like jab and combos.

If you watch that fight you will see nothing like that.

I had it a draw. As we know Felix definatley won the last 4 rounds and he won 2 earlier rounds, so this was not a robbery.

DLH, but, as a pro, he should know better than to leave it up to the judges by giving away those rounds

This is exactly how I had it accept I believe I gave the 9th round to DLH....I would have to go back and look. But I know I gave DLH a late round that HBO thought he lost and I gave Tito and early round HBO thought Tito lost.

Oscar won. But, as a fan of his, I'm still mad at him for leaving it up to the judges. In my opinion, he could have even ko'd Tito, instead, he decided to play it safe and lost. Clearly a robbery though.

it really was a crazy decision by de la hoya and his team to run in those final 4 rounds.

i dont think ive seen a fighter do that before or since

Imo De la hoya clearly won the 9th round in which the last 3 rounds you can say he run or move away cause he thought he had the fight in his bag.
