Oscar, and it wasn't even close. Honestly, Trinidad did next to nothing in that entire fight... even when Oscar took the last 2 rounds off, Tito still didn't do anything effective.

The fight was taken from DLH by the judges on principal.
It's not like Tito cut the ring off and did anything to win the fight. Tito chased DLH around and was still getting comboed when he got to close.

So yeah, at time I first saw this I thought Oscar was payed off to throw the fight. I was pissed as **** at him.

However, Tito's legacy stands on judges teaching DLH a lesson and not on a deserved win.

7-5 DLH. If I remember right, I gave Trini the last 3 and I think 2 and 4...I think.

If anyone gives rd 9 to Tito, then they need to start following another sport.
Round 10 was close, but Oscar landed the meaningful punches.

I had De La Hoya as the winner, but I cant remember how I scored it now.
I remember the headline of Boxing News magazine 'The Great Reign Robbery' The journalist who watched the fight also felt De La Hoya was a winner

Yeah, Oscar should have beaten Trinidad (and arguably Mosley once).

He also should have lost to Sturm (and Quartey).

    It all balances out.

I felt De La Hoya beat Quartey.

Its funny how over the years perceptions change. Every round is scored individually. I seem to remember thinking Oscar deserved a close decision over Sturm but remember Sturm was the fighter who looked more in control and the stronger.
When people look back at fights people seem to remember the fighter that looked stronger and feel they won. Same with Hatton and Collazo.
None of this is saying you didnt score for Sturm by the way, just a point

This fight shows the lack of knowledge from a lot of boxing fans. They usually let the comentators, perception and their bias towards one fighter take over. If people watch the fight and score it fairly they will give the fight to Tito. DLH was running from round 1 but it was more obvious the last three. But from the begining he was afraid to stop and fight and exchange with tito.

Sturm and Quartey over DLH and Collazo over Hatton (all three very close)...scoring round by round. :yep :good
