For the record I had it 116-112 clear win for Calzaghe, strangely on UK Radio Five live ex boxing champ Duke McKenzie said he had Hopkins by 2 rounds ???????
He lost plain & simple. I can't imagine how he's going to explain to his friends back in his tough neighborhood of Philly how he lost to a white boy.......................:rofl :deal :thumbsup
I think the poll results speak for themselves. The fact that people are voting for Hopkins reflects damage control. Most of them probably picked Hopkins to win so the fact that the fight can be considered to be the slightest bit controversial gives them something to cling to.
JC won a close fight, but not so close that you thought B Hops won. I really dont get that 1 judge who gave it to Ruiz.
And Joe learned it so well, by the end of the fight, the bully was bitching to the ref about Joe giving him too much rough stuff. :yep When's the last time Hopkins did that?
You people need to understand that if you scored it for one fighter by one or two rounds, yet admit that there were two or three swing rounds... then you're effectively admitting in the same breath that either man could have won the fight. The fact that people can't grasp this concept is astonishing. I had Bernard winning, but it was clear that several rounds were in the air. It doesn't surprise or upset me that some people gave these rounds to Calzaghe, and it is not a robbery of a decision.
