Well, it does honestly. The real world and the boxing world revolves around the U.S besides the HW division and everything below Lightweight.
It's true. It's not even nationalistic boasting. There's a reason why Amir Khan has stated several times his fight against Diaz would likely be his last in the UK. There's a reason why most Cubans live and fight out of the USA (although Germany has become a hot destination for some Cubans lately too). There's a reason why even legit opinions use the term "Euro level" and why even legit UK opinions use the term "domestic level." Below LW, whole different story though... And even then considering that the US doesn't have the talent in those divisions, it still is the desirable stage for those fighters.
i would have had murray by 1 round if he got credit for the knockdown but on my official card it was martinez by 1 round
no he said he didnt do enough considering it was an away fight aswell as trying to be humble , i bet when he watches the fight he`ll think differently
I had it for Murray by one point but only because I scored 2 knock downs for him. That said, a 1 point win for Martinez due to some close rounds which could have gone either way is not out of the question. I do think Murray got hurt at one point in the 11th but a draw would have seemed fair also. Martinez should retire now while on top. The only way Martinez should carry on now is if he is offered a super fight at 154.
Murray sneaked it and was very unlucky not to get the second kd but no way in hell was this a robbery. You can make a perfectly reasonable case for a Sergio win.
I voted a draw. Martinez didn't look that great due to Murray basically not engaging all night to what Martinez is acustom to. Murray pulled off a Barker which seems to work against Martinez. Martinez doesn't like or doesn't know what to do when his opponent is protecting himself with a high guard all night long and just using his jab on selected occasions. The only time Murray opened up was on the 12th round and he got hurt as he admitted himself. Martinez did get knock down twice altough they only counted one. Nothing to take off Murray, he brought a good game plan. Its the second time a real tight defense and the jab gives Martinez trouble. I doubt that if he ever fights Golovikin or Quillin (which is impossible because of HBO/Showtime) they will fight with that type of defense. They will open up and either Martinez is getting KO'd or they are getting KO'd by Martinez.
:huh How would you have Murray, what was your score it would have been a draw on my card if they called a second knock down, as it is i had it 114 113 Sergio!
Seriously pathetic crying right here, Murray lost the fight because of his inexperience on this level, you can not afford to simply give away rounds like he did first 3 he did not do anything at all just covered up, and there were close rounds that could have gone either way, huge difference is even when Sergio lost a round he was working but Murray just gave away at least 3 rounds that must be Sergio round, i think he will learn after this fight, fighting for championship belt you can not take rounds off!!!
Murray won this fight, absolutely no doubt. I had it 114-113, and the 2nd KO was a KO. 114-113 was generous as I gave Martinez a dubious round 5
