I knew what to expect. I just didn't need Adam Smith telling me what a great spectacle it was.

Just watched round 11. At the Gf's, so can't watch my Sky+ yet. Been out tonight and didn't get to see the fight. Was this round typical? If so then this fight is a real nightmare to score. Murray busier, Sturm lands a couple of cleaner shots (and really I mean a couple!).

I thought Sturm has just nicked it, no way was it 116-112. Draw is a fair result

Blimey, just watched round 12 and Sturm is a clear winner of that particular 3 minutes. Lands all of the clean shots and genuinely hurts Murray. Few things to add here:

Firstly, Sturm has to be one of the most frustrating fighters in all of World boxing. When he throws, it's generally quality stuff and he makes a mark on his opponent regularly. How often in this fight did he double up that jab? In that final round when he did so, he made it really difficult for Murray to make his mark on proceedings. Also, Sturm's uppercut is a pearler! But the lad throws it so irregularly it's a travesty. He rocked Murray back with that punch on nearly every occasion.

Secondly, looked like a cracking effort from the Saint. He's limited in terms of power, but he has an excellent guard, work-rate and it's nice to see he thinks about the punches he throws. I know I've only seen the last couple of rounds but judging from that, he probably deserved a draw from it all. Sturm didn't exactly WOW anyone with his effort.

Finally, I hate to add this but it actually looked like sparring in that last couple of rounds. Judging from the earlier comments on here, Sky made it sound like some sort of classic but neither boxer went 'hell for leather' and most of the punches were hitting the gloves.

You over estimate Sturm. Big time.

Murray did not win. He just peppered shots at Sturm throughout, nothing of any significance IMO.

Sturm is dreadful though, twice in a row basic European fighters have taken a few rounds off of him.

sturm just nicked it with stiffer jabs, but had no problem if murray got the nod, both men throwing nothing of note all night.

if it was in manchester, murray would of got the nod.

I didn't score it too carefully, but I think I had it to Murray by one round. I scored several even rounds. A draw seems a perfectly fair result, though - I was expecting Sturm wide given that the fight was in Germany.

Personally I don't give much credit at all for punches that land on the opponent's gloves; that may be why I differ from most here. Murray's may have been arm punches, but it seemed to me that they were actually connecting with Sturm's head more often.

I'll be watching it in about an hour.

I heard it was close, tough fight with Sturm probably nicking it. Also heard Watt cries robbery after having Murray 1 up on his card

Spot on mate I thought exactly the same NO WAY Murray won that round. Sturm edged it for me. Respect to Murray though.

I didn't score particularly carefully, but thought Sturm shaded it. Four rounds to Sturm was maybe pushing it a touch, thought there was maybe 2 points in it. No robbery. Frustrating to watch is Sturm. I agree with the lad saying he looks good in bursts, he really does, but then the ****er switches off. Some daft **** on the General thinks he could give MW BHop fits; I don't ****ing think so like. X would brutalise him.

Murray did better than I expected, thought he'd get outclassed, but he can be proud of his effort. Hope the lad goes on to claim a strap.
