The ppl who voted for bradley are fans of particular fighters and not boxing. There is a reason why this sport has gone from mainstream to being discarded to its current position. Decisions like Marquez and this one rob it of all credibility. What a ****ing joke !
I don't have complete sympathy for Pacquiao as Marquez was robbed but this is a disgrace. In a way it serves Pacquiao right for carrying Bradley a bit.
oh **** my bad selected Bradley but I had Pac clearly winning about as clear as I had marquez beating pac last time
Just watched it again. I had it. MP vs. TB 10 10 10 9 10 9 10 9 10 9 10 9 10 9 10 9 10 9 9 10 10 9 10 10 119 111 I'll admit I was watching the HBO commentary which some say is biased but honestly I just thought is was a clear decisive victory. Not the easiest as Bradley was tough but I didn't have him winning many at all.
Pacquiao - 8 rounds Bradley - 4 rounds I do give credit to Bradley for making it competitive. Bradley did some good work -- although you wouldnt know it from the excessive HBO nut-hugging of Pacquiao
Did some great work. Wasn't enough to win but I was very impressed with some of his work in that fight. Head movement was exceptional. Haven't seen Pacquiao miss that much in a long time. I'm sorry but I truly believe if you only gave Bradley a round or so, you don't know what you're looking at.
Did some great amount of ducking low too. When did boxing refs stopped calling ducking low violations anyway? FMJ seems to get away with it quite often. JMM sometimes does it too.
91% on ESB voted for Pacquiao and especially the boxing experts on other websites have voted for Pacquiao too against Bradley.
Weeks after the fight more and more came out of the woodwork claiming Timmeh had won in their eyes. I'm pretty sure (never knowing for sure of course) that if there had been 3 legit judges and Pac had just won the decision like he should have, there would have been virtually none of them. It's the same like that ásswipe Broner vs Malignaggi. Broner won that fight, but he lost a couple of rounds on activity wich made it close. Many people hate Broner's gut for just being obnoxious and waaay overhyped (me included), like many hate Pac for having been a threat for Floyd all those years. So a lot actually scored the fight for Paulie. Not that he actually won, but if you give him that round on activity, look the other way in that one and then he might just have edged that one if you don't count the big punches he took middle round... Then the magicman does his magic and he wins 116-112 on your really "unbiased" scorecard. :bart That's the way it works. There's no way Bradley won the Pac fight, because there were enough rounds there that were clearly Pac's in some even looking like Bratty was getting stopped. But if you go looking to give him rounds, then there are ways to score it for Timmeh on the flaws of the 10 point must system and some spinning on what you "believe" was more important that round. And the bull about the HBO commentary being a huge influence how people scored it, is completely wiped out because almost everyone of the press present (who couldn't hear it) and the huge majority of the people who watched it via other broadcasters were scoring it clearly for Pac too... Or is it some mass delusion thing that HBO spread across the world?!
Pac did win and it's exactly how you said about "unbiased" judges except, I don't think it had anything to do Floyd or Pac being a threat to him but rather that they were very pissed off at Pac. Remember Pac delayed the fight and kept them (the judges) waiting over a basketball game. I myself have was upset over that, surely the judges might feel the same way. When you're really heated (it wasn't that bad for me I was at home with friends, were working) you might try to be impartial but when those close rounds come who are you gonna call it for??? Just a theory...
