I'm sure someone has already pointed this out but I've not read the entire thread: that idea that somehow the champ starts the fight with an advantage on the scorecards is BULL****. Pacquiao's fanboys always trot out the same old stuff about landing more, winning more rounds, yet they're happy to claim Pacquiao won the second fight even though he lost more rounds and landed less. Sure he scored a knockdown, but only one. Oh, and Marquez was the champ in THAT fight. Likewise this notion that the aggressor should be favoured: it's EFFECTIVE aggression that counts, not swinging and being countered hard. Oh, and his name is MARQUEZ, not Martinez... Duh.
JMM was giving Pac a hard time by timing him and executing beautiful counterpunches, which overshadowed Pacquiao's aggressiveness in the ring. Pacquiao's sneaky punches were not noticed during the fight because of the fast-pace fight. I was so disappointed to Pac's perfomance during the 3rd fight that I gave the close rounds to Marquez. But when I watched the replay, the SD was justifiable. Before you guys swarm me with "Replays and slomos dont mean **** on fights", then we have to respect the judges' decision then.
I think I had the exact same score, JMM wasn`t as dominant as the score suggests but he definitely won the fight.
I had marquez by at least 3 rounds the first time I watched it and that was being generous to pac. You could just tell by Ariza and Roach's face that they knew that Pac lost. ****ing priceless.
Officially: Pac Unofficially: Marquez Emotionally: Marquez Unemotionally: Pac Professionally: Pac Amateurishly: Marquez Maturely: Pac Immaturely: Marquez So actually its a draw but seriously it's Pac
How could you possibly know by just looking at men's faces how they exactly feel. Are you an expert on this? Are you what i think you are?
