Bute never let his hands go, he was so gunshy it was painful to watch... Every time he got hit flush he went into panic-mode. Pascal controlled the fight easily without doing much himself, his 30sec-onslaughts per round were enough to take it bc Bute wasn't doing anything. 116-113 Pascal, and only bc Pascal threw away the last 2 rounds knowing he was way ahead and having no respect for Butes power anyway. Bute is finished.
If you saw his facial expression right when entering the ring, you already knew. He was in panic mode entering the ring, poor guy probably had flashbacks of that faithful night in Nottingham.
Pascal clearly. The brits kept talking about how Pascal was being to inactive and not throwing enough, which is true, but Bute wasn't throwing a thing either.
This post is similar to what I was thinking. Bute seemed very nervous in my opinion. I felt Pascal was a clear winner. Bute is possibly the boxer who has surprised me most. I felt he would have beaten Froch all that time ago and moved on. I always felt he seemed nervous about being tagged but in fairness to him (bar the 12th round against Andrade) he hardly ever did before Froch caught him consistantly throughout. Now he just does not seem the same. I thought if Bute was the same fighter from before he would have beaten Pascal but I dont know where Bute goes from here. I expect it took alot out of him to get to SMW, but at LHW wouldnt pick him against many of the top fighters now
This. I voted Bute out of disgust as I couldn't bring myself to vote Pascal after such a lacklustre performance. They were both awful.
