Wow. Didn't see the fight and only read Espn's article on the fight but obviously it was a highway robbery. Feel bad for Beltran. He risked his life and gets this in return. Such a shame.

To be fair the Sky team wasn't biased with their commentary either. Burns got left off tonight.

Was suprised by this, Watt actually had Beltran winning, thought he woulda gave loads of even rounds and end up having it a draw

Burns was pretty much in survival mode after the knockdown. I've noticed some people attempting to give Burns those last two rounds due to Beltran not beating him quite as decisively as the previous rounds, so you'd be best served to ignore these people.

It was an awful decision. When you break it down into rounds, Burns only won 2 of them clearly (rounds 1 and 7). Beltran won 7 of them clearly (rounds 3,4,5,8,9,10 & 12). That leaves rounds 2,6 & 11 as rounds where I can understand arguments for either guy winning. Even if you give Burns all 3 of those rounds, the score is still 115-112 Beltran when you include the knockdown. I personally gave him 2 & 11 and scored the 6th for Beltran, so I had it 116-111. You could also have it 117-110 or even 118-109 and I wouldn't complain. There's just no way that I can see how a competent judge would score that a draw, never mind a victory for Burns.

No need for the poll. Beltran clearly won.

Halling was straining every sinew to minimize Beltran's achievements, whilst elevating Burn's as is his trademark. One of his habits is to just stop commenting on the punches being landed buy the non-sky fighter in relatively close/competitive rounds. When Beltran took a few steps backing towards the end of the 7th the guy almost had the pompoms out at the challenger's apparent demise; next round boom!

Woeful, loathsome commentator; to be fair Watt was far less biased.

It was a pretty easy fight to score, there weren't too many "close rounds" in the fight.

Beltran clearly won that fight by a few points. Burns was in survival mode for over half the fight. Terrible draw decision, I feel bad for the guy.
