rd 8 was the best rd of the fight ...parker had a nice flurry in there but i gave that rd to takam .... you guys who did you give rd 8 too ?
i gave it to takam as his punches affected parker more parker punched himself out in this round and left himself tired and disorganised albeit the beautifull 20 punch combo parker threw with relaxed and very fast and hard hands was as good as anything i have ever seen any heavy throw and i am older than most on here/ it was a thing of beauty for a heavy . parker then gassed and should have just shown a little bit of lateral movement instead taka m took over and crude and slow punches easily found there mark on parker and parker had to retreat and take them snapping his head back. if parker irons out his flaws he will be a champ his skill level is high/ just his lung capacity/ its as if he holds his breath the entire time when firing volleys of shots is low. round 8 and 12 were great the rest of the fight was fought at a relatively modest pace which was a surprise to me / takam at 35 can only now fight 1 min a round and leaves it like an old pro to the last min.
I gave it to Parker, a lot of Takam's were partially blocked and Parker's did more damage, it was damn close.
It was close but Takam'a punches didn't really land clean, I gave most rds to Parker in a close fight.
Did anyone notice Takam was really shattered after the fight, mentally. Like dazed leaving the ring and trying to find his locker. I know he was tired but he must have taken a hell of a lot of head shots in there and stayed standing. I rekon it was the most motivated Takam I've seen. Hopefully he's ok
Interesting stats from Compubox: Parker threw 57 punches in total in that round and landed 23 of them, every one of those punches landed were power punches. Takam threw 66 punches in total, landed 21 of them and with 18 of them being power punches.
I thought Takam edged it. He won the first minute and the last minute of that round for me. Parker had a great spell in the middle of the round but Takam was more consistent through the round and that gave him the edge in my opinion.
In those flurries Parker threw he got tagged twice very hard by two counter hooks, you can see him back off immediately after the second one. That evened out that section of the round. The rest of that round was takam wide. No way Parker round. I found that one of the easier rounds to score if any.
I should have added that I scored this round as a draw when I was watching it, I had to go back to the RBR I did on Facebook to confirm my initial thoughts. I could see how people would score it either way though, though I think I was slightly slightly leaning Parker due to the epic combo session but with no actual knock down etc it didn't really necessarily pay off enough to justify the gassing etc. Who the **** are you and why the **** should you writing some heated words make me feel like doing something different to unwinding on my couch after a hard day of work and sharing some thoughts and findings on an exciting boxing match with like minded people? If you aren't interested in the thread or what I have to say then try and pull your **** together and go elsewhere instead of spouting random off topic **** at people involved in actual conversation. I'll stay on topic and hope the troll either joins it or heads off to somewhere more suited to his level of evolution.
