I scored it 115-113 for Madrimov.

But I knew a foreign boxer cannot win a decision in America against a star American boxer.

Bakole showed us the only way it can be done - Madrimov needed a KO to win.

Lol....you are basing it on "highlights".....You do understand highlights are edited outtakes of what one considers important action in the competition right?

Before the fight started and even listening to the commentators (outside of Shawn Porter), you would have thought that Crawford was getting smacked around. Watch the fight and you can clearly see that Crawford clearly was the victor. Madrimov wouldn't even engage with Crawford til the 3rd round, yet they had him out landing Crawford 36-35 going into the 4th.....It was nothing more than comical to hear Mannix and Sergy do all this analyzing of how well Madrimov was moving and how "in control he was", then Crawford lands a 3 punch combo and they go silent for 20 seconds until Madrimov throws another hook to Crawford's arm. Then they go about talking about Madrimov's power.

Watch the actual fight. I would recommend watching it on mute so you can get an authentic opinion on the fight.

    7-5 Crawford.

    That was my final scorecard.

I had it 5-5 after 10 rounds. Crawford won the last 2 rounds pretty clear and that's what won him the fight.

The first 40 seconds of this video let's me know that even Madrimov knew that he lost this fight. Fighters/competitors know when they really have done enough to be victorious.

Madrimov gave the cliche answer of "I felt I did enough....." Because it's hard to accept your first loss to a guy you told "this is my division"....

You can look at Madrimov's face in the post press conference and see that he was touched far more often than his fans and the commentators are willing to admit. His left eye looked worse than Crawford's right eye from the head butt.

Boxing lost. Think about it. You had "celebrity" fans and the arena seemed to be at, or near, capacity. However, the fight was a snooze fest. It appeared that Crawford was content to try and capitalize on Madrimov's mistakes yet Madrimov never pressed the fight in a big way. Madrimov feinted, feinted, feinted, feinted, and feinted some more the whole fight. Yes, he landed some nice right hands and maybe two good left hooks. Other than that, I don't believe he landed a single body shot. Crawford seemed to try and press the fight on one or two occasions but never seemed to gain momentum on the little success he found.

I'm sure all those "celebrities" won't tune in to watch Crawford or Madrimov anytime soon.

Points wise, Crawford won the fight.

    Terence Crawford vs Israil Madrimov

    1 Even
    2 Crawford
    3 Madrimov
    4 Crawford
    5 Madrimov
    6 Crawford
    7 Crawford
    8 Madrimov
    9 Madrimov
    10 Crawford
    11 Crawford
    12 Crawford

    116-113 Crawford

The fight was up for grabs after 9 rounds but Crawford won the last 3 rounds for me the last 2 especially were very decisive IMO to earn Crawford the nod.

Intriguing fight but quite dull aswell Madrimov was coming forward but didn't throw enough punches, i felt like there was too most wasted movement and feints without enough punching to be quite frank.

Crawford himself wasn't a whirling dervish either but i felt he stole some rounds with his jab and eye catching body punches, and as i alluded to earlier the last 3 rounds were the key and that's what won Crawford the fight.

Not alot in it a very nip and tuck kind of fight but the later rounds won it for Crawford.

The Pac and Floyd fight did that. This was nowhere near that magnitude and as hyped. Also this is on par with a Saudi fight. Fill stadium with big name that want to see a fight. Wouldn't shock me if their tickets were free or even paid to show up.

Crawford 9-3 for me. Hearn saying that the champion should get the rub of green. Is that an actual thing that judges have to adhere to ? Madrimov may have landed the best single shot in some rounds but didn’t do much else to get the round compared to Buds volume.

THANK YOU!! Very accurate assessment. Just because a guy who you're not familiar with does alot better than expected Does Not mean he won the fight! He had Crawford hesitant and thinking alot in the first several rounds BUT Madrimov was applying affective aggression because Crawford was still out punching him in those rounds. Crawford CLEARLY won rounds 1-3 and Def the championship rounds. So those 5 rounds are a given. So you mean to tell me Crawford didn't win 2 rounds between rounds 4-9! Cut it out

Thank goodness the majority have the right man watching It live i never understood how people had Madrimov ahead in the rbr he didn't outland Crawford for more than 4 rounds before the 11th. Everytime Crawford landed a jab or a combination nobody mentioned it. Only when Madrimov got his shots off.

Rbr was biased as hell and and i feel many wanted Crawford to lose

Madrimov also failed to trade or fight in close. He’d get tagged and go straight for the octopus clinch.

I don't see much of an argument for Madirmov TBH Crawford clearly outworked him and won all the later rounds. At best i can see a draw for Madrimov but i don't see how he gets the nod with his very low output and losing all the later rounds as i said.

Madrimov’s mistake was that he wasted time posturing, feinted too much, wasn’t aggressive enough, didn’t throw much combinations, and let the fight slip away in the late rounds. Crawford’s jab also made the difference and helped him stay in the fight even if they weren’t always landing.

Honestly it’s really hard to have a clear cut case for Madrimov unless it was a draw which I wouldn’t have mind. Crawford just did a bit more and was able to close the show emphatically like the true champion that he is.

If anything I think this fight was a great learning lesson for Madrimov and I can only see him get better moving forward. He’s showed that he’s world class.
