I wouldn't even go by the numbers counts. Use the percentage of the total votes. 69% said Crawford won, 18% Madrimov, and 11% said draw. So the vast majority on a boxing site saw a Crawford win.
I didnt score round by round, but it seemed like Bud edged it out. I would be ok with a draw or point or two either way. I feel bad for Mad cause no ones gonna want to fight him, hes too good and brings in too little money.
Lets just count the draws for Mad and help him get to 50 votes, and he still doesnt get even half the consensus. Right guy won.
Look, I'm not going to argue that Bud winning by a solitary point isn't perfectly fine. But let's not act like it was some sort of masterclass and a schooling, and the outcome isn't debatable. Great, so a site filled with Crawford fanboys, or people who prefer to go with the herd, all edge it in his favor, what else is new? That proves nothing, and it certainly doesn't illuminate just how close the fight really was and how precariously Madrimov came to pulling the upset. Had Madrimov won the last two decisively, then he'd have won the fight even on the judges scorecards. That's dangerously close, and highlights how it was hanging in the balance heading into the championship rounds. Now, considering how many rounds were damned hard to score, including the 12th, where even the punch stats in most cases had them landing only a punch or two more than the other, and a couple were even. That means the people's opinions who scored it for Madrimov who you're trying to undermine, are every bit as valid as the ones who scored it for Bud. Sure, you can say Serge and I are biased, but IB certainly isn't, and he's scored it for Madrimov as well. IB and I are both solid scorers, so by no means were we delusional, we were simply seeing things that a lot of more casual viewers miss, which is quite common with both of us.
Just watched it. Had Crawford by 2. Baffled at the calls of Madrimov winning by 3 or 4 rounds though.
Hard one to call but I had Crawford by 1 point. I don't think he will be as dominant at LMW. If Floyd had stayed there he would not have been either but he was naturally smaller than bud.
I had it 115-113 To Bud Crawford but Madrimov did well especially towards the later rounds, but the right man got the nod.
You have to be the best scorer on the forum I dont remember disagreeing with any of your RBR scorecards
The variance in scorecards on round by rounds here is mind boggling. Some of it is pure trolling of course.
There was a few swing rounds but the consensus is that Crawford Madrimov was tight until the championship rounds which Crawford bagged to secure the victory. I really want Scotty Cork and others to explain how Madrimov won.
