Maidana is the 1 who needs that money

Alvarez got KO of the night, but ODLH felt bad for the other winners so he cut checks to Maidana, Ponce De Leon and Santa Cruz for $25,000 each for their "impressive victories" (and because it probably looked bad to have the mega-star get the bonus, when those other guys who earn far less could probably use it more)

i was dissapointed alvarez got it. Especially when the KO was questionable and he don't really need the money like the others.

Plus thhe others had to work harder for there's. The voting system was flawed too. Good idea, but ofcourse the main event will get more votes

Technically speaking it was the best knockout.

Santa Cruz retired Morel on his stool and shouldn't have even been in the running. (as terrific as his performance was)

Maidana's TKO of Soto Karass wasn't all that outstanding a stoppage, not quick or anything and it was a great little fight, but JSK was standing and firing back when Bayless stepped in. It wasn't really comparable to Lopez (putting up no less game an effort than Soto Karass) getting dropped hard several times and ultimately pummeled into oblivion.

If JSK hadn't gotten up from that huge KD in the 7th, Maidana would deserve it.

Given the nature of the eventual stoppage - with JSK still up on his feet and fighting back...you can't call it as good as the Canelo vs. Josesito stoppage.

You had to know that the second they made this a text in and vote contest the most popular fighter in the biggest miss match on the card was going to get the money. Glad to see the other winners got some cash.

Damn well that's cool on Oscar, but I was hoping Santa Cruz would get it for making the ****** quit on his stool :good

TEchnically speaking it wasn't the best knockout.
At no time was Lopez hurt like Soto Karass was.

Thought the exact same, why give the $100k to a guy already on $2 million, there's guys out there that deserve/need it more.

It was a fans vote. 100k went for the person who got most votes. Simple.
