Exactly. I mean, how often does a fighter not only admit he lost, but also acknowledge that he couldn’t figure the other guy out? And yet, quite a few people on this forum still scored this fight for Canelo. Pretty surprising, to say the least.
Bud completely dominated Canelo in the last few rounds and conceded defeat in the post fight presser.
I agree Canelo has become very unidimensional in recent years. His volume is low, and he barely throws any combinations. And if he cuts the ring, well, nothing really happens. His main strength now is to act like he is the boss in the ring, chasing his prey. But nothing happens. He gets so much credit for appearing to be the aggressor, but in reality, he shows no aggression at all.
If Canelo was called Barry White, no reputation, and we was just watching Crawford beat on a guy called Barry White, everyone would say landslide. Because hes called Canelo, and who Canelo is, people tend to call the rounds closer and in favour of Canelo if they are close. I had it 9 rounds to 3 in favour of Bud, and i, as i do in every Canelo fight because its necessary when it comes to the official cards of a Canelo fight, was as generous as i could be to him every round. Bud dictated how this fight played out. He didnt even have to get out of 2nd gear.
There was no real conviction in the way he chased TC. He was clearly concerned being countered, but he never gave up trying. He's no bad ass Mexican, ala JCC, Margo or Marquez.Benavidez would have made a far better fight against either. TC was very mindful of Canelo's power and always kept at large, but considering the size differential, i can't blame him. This fight was a clear example on why superfights need to be 15 rds, in order to clearly show a winner.Neither went after the other, both wanted to survive and hoped the judges would save them.
To be honest crawford shut him out. There were 2 close rounds but canelo did **** to nothing to win either.
